Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2020-08) Silva Flores, Katherin Geovanna; Portilla Yandún, Favio PaúlIn this project, traffic studies, topographical survey of the area and soil studies were carried out, in which the different technical aspects are presented in order to define the geometric design of the road, complying with the established and current regulations of the MTOP of Ecuador. With the information obtained in the field work through manual counting, we proceeded to establish the projection of the AADT, classification of the types of vehicles that circulate on the road, then to calculate the equivalent axes number ESAL´S. The topography work allowed to know the characteristics of the terrain and with the help of the software Autocad Civil 3D proceeded to horizontal - vertical design and the cross section of the road. Both in-situ and laboratory tests were carried out in the soil study in order to reveal the mechanical characteristics of the natural soil and sub-base, proceeding to establish the conditions of resistance presented by the layers and determine the structure of the pavement, under the methodology AASHTO - 93. In addition, the required drainage and road signs works along the road were designed. Finally, a technical-economic analysis was carried out in which the reference budget is determined on the basis of the activities to be developed in the construction process.
