Cl. Mg.The present investigation was conducted to determine the relationship between self- esteem and the aesthetic body shape model in university students. Psychometric instruments were used to carry out the study. The Ronsenberg Self-Esteem Scale was used for self-esteem levels and the Questionnaire of the Influence of the Aesthetic Body Model (CIMEC) was used for the aesthetic body shape model. The selected population met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, with a total sample of 115 students of clinical psychology between the ages of 18 to 23 years. The research is of a quantitative, correlational type with a cross- section, for which statistical data was obtained with the instruments used to determine the correlation between both variables by means of Spearman's rho statistical test. In relation to self-esteem levels, high levels were found more frequently in (52.2%) of the participants and medium levels in (34.8%), with a low percentage of low levels (13.8%). There is evidence of less influence by the aesthetic body model in (60%) of the population and greater influence in (40%). In terms of the gender comparison of participants, the female population had a larger influence of the aesthetic model of the body (45.3%) than the male population (24.1%).Item Evaluación del índice de función sexual femenina y su rol en la funcionalidad familiar(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Centro de Posgrados, 2022-03-01) Carate Guagchinga, Pamela Estefanía Md; Castro Acosta. Cl. Mg.The objective of this research project is to identify the influence of emotional intelligence on the level of machismo in university students and as specific objectives: determine the level of predominant emotional intelligence, assess the level of dominant machismo in students and differentiate the degree of machismo in men and women. It is important to mention that the variable machismo, being a broad concept studied from various approaches such as social and anthropological, but not only the psychological one, the research specifically addressed the concept of sexual machismo, in order to better delimit the present study, whose approach is quantitative, explanatory and crosssectional. Two psychological assessment instruments were applied to 171 students from a public university in the canton of Latacunga. The instruments used were the Bar-on emotional intelligence scale and the sex machismo scale (EMS-Sexismo-12). As a result, the variables of emotional intelligence and sexual machismo do not have a statistically significant correlation. It was determined that 68% of the population has a low coefficient of emotional intelligence, followed by 29% normal and 3% high or higher emotional intelligence. Regarding sexual machismo levels, 57.89% have a medium level of machismo and 42.10% are low, it should be noted that there were no high levels of machismo in the population. In addition, in terms of gender predominance, an average of 23.97 in men and 19.40 in women was determined. It is necessary to conduct a more in-depth study regarding the factors that could predetermine a sexist sexual behavior, so it is recommended in the future to carry out correlational studies that answer this broad question. Subsequently, a second evaluation was carried out, in which positive results were obtained. this is how we have that, in the subarea of body coordination, in the first evaluation, 80% refers to weak points, while 20% in normal development and 0% in strong points; later in the final evaluation, after a planned intervention, it was evident that 93% were in normal development and 7% in strong points. In the sub area of Locomotion, in the first evaluation, 87% were in weak points, 13% in normal development and 0% in strong points; The final evaluation, 87% was in the normal development and 13% in strong points; Proving in this way the hypothesis proposed which results that the Sensorial estimate influences the motor development of children from 18 to 24 months. It has a methodological framework, referring to the type of research, selection of the study area, population, taken samples, intervention procedures, ethical aspects, ensuring the safeguard of the safety and welfare of the population studied. In order to obtain results, two psychological reagents were applied: PARENTAL STYLE QUESTIONNAIRE AND THE RISK FOOD BEHAVIOR QUESTIONNAIRE, these were applied to 119 students of the afternoon and morning section of the second year of high school, accessing To the results to carry out the analysis and interpretation of the same, have been shaped by tables and graphs that can be appreciated. The Chi method of the SPSS program was used in order to verify the hypothesis, if there is a relationship between the Parenting Styles and the Risk Food Behaviors, obtaining that they are not related to each other. It is also concluded that the current investigation is original and innovative, because other projects were found that only examined one of these two variables.
