Item Propiedades psicométricas del cuestionario de inteligencia emocional rasgos (version corta) (teique-sf) en estudiantes universitarios ecuatorianos(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2023-09-18) Rivas Cruz, Elva Cristina; Gaibor Gonzalez, Ismael ÁlvaroEmotional intelligence is an individual skill essential for optimal functioning that involves recognizing others' and one's own emotions, motivating oneself, and forming social relationships. The psychological characteristics of the scales used to measure emotional intelligence have rarely been analyzed in Latin American cultures, as in the case of the TEIQue-SF. The main objective is to determine the psychometric properties of the Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (short version) (TEIQue-SF) in university students. Individuals were selected from a non-probabilistic convenience sampling, obtaining a sample of 504 participants from a university in the city of Ambato-Ecuador. The results indicate a high reliability index for the factors (Cronbach's alpha between .71 and .91), the original structure could not be verified in the confirmatory factor analysis and finally it was found that there were no statistically significant differences in EI between the mean scores of men (M=130) and women (M=129).Item Habilidades de Estudio para Aprendizajes Significativos en la Asignatura de Anatomía en la Facultad de Salud de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato(2009-05-01) Casares Tamayo Dr., Jimmy Ronald; Aldás Carrera Dr. Mg., CarlosWas conducted a descriptive, transversal research of qualitative, quantitative, observational type in the classroom, between the months of November 2008 and may 2009 at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the UTA, medicine. Objective: To determine the impact of study skills in the development of meaningful learning in the subject of Anatomy, of the career of medicine, Technical University of Ambato, thus also established the study skills with students at admission to medicine and those who already passed the course. The ability is dominated and coherent action which student appropriate through the learning process, developed from the interaction of the subject with nature and society. For these reasons it is essential at the beginning of the health careers, splitting a system of essential skills that will develop in the basic cycle. Then allowing the acquisition of skills for higher level of hierarchy to be aimed to solve the professional problems that the doctor will face. Methodology: Students participating in the research were organized into two groups: 1) the advanced who approved Anatomy and 2) the initial entering the race. The advanced approved Anatomy have developed skills logical intellectuals among them: identify, describe, classify, and explain Results: We observed a further development thereof among the students who passed anatomy with statistically significant 0.04198881 P. About students who recently entered. To evaluate reading habits, unfortunately none of the 2 groups there is the habit of reading important in the acquisition of new knowledge. In as to how to study the subject of advanced 22% read aloud, 15% reads with the look; 7.8% combine reading aloud with the realization of summaries. In the initial 24% read aloud, 1% merges reading with realization of summaries. The two groups frequently perform summaries and graphics. In the two groups is not given the necessary importance that due to study reading. Only 33% of students recall the anatomical terms. Surface to the advanced and functional anatomical knowledge allowed them to solve clinical problems. Only 30% of the advanced are confident of the contribution that the anatomy has to solve clinical problems. The acquisition of logical intellectual skills has fostered understanding of other subjects from the anatomy. Initial and advanced students coincide (80.5%) that the subject of anatomy has contributed to his medical vocation.- Conclusion: The acquisition of logical intellectual skills has fostered understanding other subjects from the anatomy. The new approach which must be given to the subject of anatomy is the clinical application, i.e. to learn what the student has a future utility in his professional career.
