Cl. Mg.
Introduction: The neurodevelopment of children is fundamental during the first years of life, since, in early childhood a number of neural connections are formed that will become permanent learning. The objective is to determine the level of neurodevelopment of children aged 0 to 2 years who are in institutional care in order to identify the criteria for the implementation of a dark room for sensory stimulation. Methodology: this is a quantitative descriptive and prospective study; the population is 12 children from 0 to 2 years of age from the Casa Hogar Santa Marianita in the city of Ambato. Information was collected on the demographic data of the population and for the assessment of neurodevelopment the Child Development Evolution Test (EDI) was applied. The statistical system SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 23.0 for Windows was used, employing descriptive and nominal measures. Results: 58.3% of the children showed neurodevelopmental delay and 33.3% were at risk of neurodevelopmental delay. Conclusion: There is neurodevelopmental delay in children in institutional care due to the risk factors and adverse situations they have presented, it is xvi of utmost importance to intervene with timely sensory stimulation strategies to help the acquisition of developmental skills and abilities

Mg.
West syndrome or childhood spasms is an epileptic encephalopathy or brain disorder of unknown origin, characterized by the triad of infantile spasms, hypsarrhythmia and developmental regression, affects global development, being the psychomotor area the most affected. It has an incidence of 1 per 4,000 live births and predominates in males. There is no specific factor on this anomaly, the World Health Organization through the CIE-10 assigns it as G409 (Epilepsies, unspecified type). The objective of this research is to determine the benefits of the Padovan Method for the advancement of head control in a patient with West Syndrome, the present case is a 5- year-old female patient, who presents alteration in all areas of development, being the psychomotor area the most affected, in which stereotyped movements typical of the syndrome can be observed. The Padovan Method or Neurofunctional reorganization, is a process that combines neuroevolutionary and neurovegetative movements to adapt them peripherally to the nervous system in the form of stimuli. This methodology will be accompanied by music therapy and sensory stimulation to have greater effectiveness in the Early Stimulation sessions.

“La estimulación sensorial en el desarrollo motor grueso de niños de 18 a 24 meses”
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2019-07-01) Tubón Tite, Ruth Marianela; Valencia Medina, Paola Silvana Psc. CI. Mg.
The present research Project was carried out in San Pedro de Pelileo Canton, Tungurahua Province, with a population of children in an age range of 18 to 24 months, 8 girls and 7 boys. Who come to the Office of Early Stimulation “Burbujitas of Colors”, in wich it is intented to determine the influence of Sensorial Stimulation in the gross motor development of the aforementioned population. In order to obtain the necessary information, the Battelle Development Inventory was used as an assessment tool, which allows evaluating two sub-areas of gross motor skills: Body Coordination and Locomotion, in this way to know at what level the children were ) in study and apply a series of Sensory Stimulation activities with a focus on gross motor development. Subsequently, a second evaluation was carried out, in which positive results were obtained. this is how we have that, in the subarea of body coordination, in the first evaluation, 80% refers to weak points, while 20% in normal development and 0% in strong points; later in the final evaluation, after a planned intervention, it was evident that 93% were in normal development and 7% in strong points. In the sub area of Locomotion, in the first evaluation, 87% were in weak points, 13% in normal development and 0% in strong points; The final evaluation, 87% was in the normal development and 13% in strong points; Proving in this way the hypothesis proposed which results that the Sensorial estimate influences the motor development of children from 18 to 24 months.
