Item APOYO SOCIAL Y AUTOEFICACIA ACADÉMICA EN ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS(2025-03-06) Velasco Rubio, Jennifer Nicole; Vásquez de la Bandera Cabezas, Fabricio Alejandro; Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología ClínicaSocial support refers to the feeling of support from one's close ties, while academic self-efficacy is defined as the perception of one's own abilities in the academic context. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between social support and academic self-efficacy in university students. The sample consisted of 124 university students of legal age belonging to a public university in Ambato, Ecuador. The study maintained a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design and correlational scope. Data were collected by applying the Duke-UNK-11 Functional Social Support Questionnaire and the Inventory of Academic Self-Efficacy Expectations (IEAA). A low positive correlation was found between social support and academic selfefficacy. Most students presented a normal level of social support and a medium level of academic self-efficacy. In addition, no significant differences were found between males and females with respect to social support. In conclusion, the study variables are related, so that the higher the social support, the higher the academic self-efficacy.Item APOYO SOCIAL Y RIESGO SUICIDA EN ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS(2025-03-05) Velasteguí Velasteguí Eduardo Gabriel; García Ramos Diana Carolina; Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología ClínicaSocial support is made up of various practical and emotional resources which a person perceives in different ways, the same that are a protective factor for suicidal risk, the lack or inadequate perception of support can cause discomfort in various dimensions, being a risk factor for suicide. The present research aims to determine the relationship between perceived social support and suicidal risk in university students, with a population of 99 students, 12 belong to the female sex and 87 to the male sex. The study is quantitative, correlational, non-experimental and cross-sectional. The instruments applied were the MOS Perceived Social Support Questionnaire and the Plutchik Suicide Risk Scale. The results show that there is a significant correlation between social support and suicidal risk (Rho(97)= -0.259 p<0.05), which indicates that the higher the social support, the lower the suicidal risk; in addition, there was a high level of social support and a low percentage of suicidal risk in the participants. It was also found that there is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores in suicidal risk (U=323 p<0.05) between women (M=6.42) and men (H=4.03).Item APOYO SOCIAL PERCIBIDO POR EL PACIENTE EN RECUPERACIÓN DOMICILIARIA(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-10-03) Chasi Morocho, Karen Dayana; Chasillacta Amores, Fabiola BeatrizIntroduction: Within the surgical area, numerous activities are carried out that can generate certain levels of stress in health personnel. In this case, the nursing staff who is affected directly or indirectly in the performance of their daily functions due to the fact that it demands great responsibility in terms of surgical practice to maintain a balance between the well-being of the patient and their own. Objective: analyze the social support perceived by the patient in home recovery; Methods: A quantitative, non-experimental design, cross-sectional and descriptive research was developed, which consisted of patients discharged from the Hospital Municipal Nuestra Señora de La Merced inthe quarter August -October 2023, to whom the MOS questionnaire of social support was applied; Results: Female gender predominated in the study by 51%, with ages ranging from 18 to 30 years in 36%; in the whole sample predominates the MEDIUM range with 63% in social support index, 65% in emotional support, 63% in material support, 60% in positive social interaction and 42% in affective support; Conclusions: The support given to people during their recovery at home influences the progress of recovery, therefore, consideration and understanding in them is important; a large percentage of respondents receive good support from their family and friends in their recovery process at home.Item APOYO SOCIAL PERCIBIDO Y ADICCIÓN A LAS REDES SOCIALES EN ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2024-09-06) Alvarez Haro, María José; Cueva Rubio, María AugustaPerc ei ved social su pport is d efin ed as the subj ective evaluatio n of the effectiven ess of soci al sup port and its reso urc es, a nd a ddiction to social n etworks i s a co mpul sive depend enc e on t h e use o f digital plat fo rm s. To mea sure th e variabl es studi ed, th e MOS Qu estio nnaire of P erc eived Soci al Su pport (MOS) d evelop ed b y Sh erbo urn e and St ewart (1991 ) and th e Addiction to Social Networks Qu esti onnaire (ARS) mad e by Escurra a nd Sala s in 2014 were u sed. Th e result s sho wed that th ere is a sligh t negative correlation between the dimensions of perceived social support and addiction to social net works and in t erm s of gend er m ean s, th ere were stati stically signific ant di fferences b et ween the m ea ns o f m en (41.2 ) and wom en (34.5 ). Msc.The research project with the theme "Perceived social support and quality of life in elderly people in the nursing home Sacred Heart of Jesus" have, OMS considers older people to reach the age of 60 years. Old age brings physical, economic and functional modifications. The living conditions of the population and the availability of health services have accelerated in Latin America and the Caribbean. They help maintain independence, establish meaningful lifestyles, adapt to changes, develop self-care strategies, the context of culture and value system. Establish the relationship between perceived social support and quality of life, the application of the survey instrument based on the Multidimensional Scale of Social Support Perceived by Zimet and the Quality of Life Scale, older adults can almost always talk about their problems with their friends, sometimes people who are interested in what they feel. In physical functionality, 86.66% state that they often move aided by a cane or another person, indicates that physical functionality interferes with their quality of life, 54.54%, often maintain relationships with their friends and neighbors; Monetary situation 59.46% are sometimes satisfied with the economic conditions, they can almost always express their family feel and think, 29.03% are almost always able to take care of themselves, the nursing home is defined by the subjects themselves fears in front of to the uncertainty of the future The perception of social support if it influences quality of life.
