Item ROL DE ENFERMERÍA EN PACIENTES CON CÁNCER DE MAMA(2025-06-17) Trejo Morejón, Karol Dayana; Cusme Torres, Nadihezka Amanda; Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Carrera de EnfermeríaBreast cancer in Ecuador has been increasing over the years. It has been found that the risk of developing breast cancer is 38.2 cases per 100,000 women. Late diagnosis of the disease results in increased healthcare costs. The research was conducted at the Dr. Julio Enrique Paredes Oncology Hospital and was based on a qualitative, phenomenological approach with a descriptive scope. Eleven nurses participated, and semistructured interviews were conducted to understand their roles, difficulties, and needs for emotional support, impactful experiences in their careers, challenges in caring for mastectomized patients, specialized training, emotional support for patients and their families, management of oncology services, and the risks and safety measures in handling cytostatics. It was concluded that their main role is direct care and, above all, psychological support, which is essential in treatment. Nurses tend to be disciplined in administering medication at the correct times and especially in preparing these drugs, prioritizing the safety of both themselves and the patient.Item ROL DE ENFERMERÍA EN LA ANSIEDAD DE LA PACIENTE EN PERIODO PRENATAL(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-05-29) Telenchana Telenchana, Aracelly Belèn; Analuisa Jiménez, Eulalia IsabelIntroduction: Pregnancy involves important physical and emotional changes in women, which can generate psychological disorders, making it a priority research topic for public health. Results: Review tables were made divided by subtopics: 1) Articles were reviewed in relation to prenatal anxiety, 2) Factors associated with prenatal anxiety and 3) Nursing role in prenatal anxiety. Discussion: The articles reviewed on the risk factors for prenatal anxiety agree that low social/family support, domestic violence, low economic income, as well as a history of psychological disorders give rise to psychological and emotional health problems of the pregnant woman.
