Item Dependencia del celular y su relación con las habilidades sociales en adolescentes(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2022-09-01) Balarezo Morales, Viviana Liseth; Rodríguez Pérez, Mayra Lucía, Ps. Cl. Mg.The main objective of this research was to identify the relationship between cell phone dependence and social skills in adolescents, variables measured by means of the TDM cell phone dependence test and the Goldstein social skills scale, in a population of 100 adolescents, 52 males and 48 females, belonging to the second and third year of high school at the Salcedo Educational Unit, who were selected under inclusion and exclusion criteria. The level of cell phone dependence was analyzed, where a predominance of the moderate level was found with 45%, likewise, it was established that the normal level of social skills in Group I (40%), Group II (41%), Group III (34%), Group IV (41%), Group V (36%) and Group VI (50%), prevails in the evaluated population. Likewise, by comparing the average ranges, it was shown that the male gender RM=53.51 presents greater dependence on cell phones than the female gender RM= 47.24; however, no statistically significant differences were found. Pearson's correlation test was applied, identifying that there is no statistically significant correlation (r=-0.075 p>0.05) between cell phone dependence and social skills.
