Introduction: Euthanasia is the act of intentionally ending a person's life, with the purpose of relieving the suffering of the person suffering from a terminal or painful illness. Greater knowledge promotes informed decisions and empathetic support, while personal beliefs can lead to compassionate support or emotional conflict. Objective: To analyze the knowledge and attitudes about euthanasia in nursing students. Methods: Quantitati ve approach, non-experimental design, descriptive scope and cross-sectional cohort. The population consisted of 102 sixth and seventh semester students, to whom a questionnaire on knowledge and attitudes towards euthanasia was applied that addressed four sections. Results: 99% of the students have knowledge about bioethics, 54% report that they have completed university studies on bioethics, 92% have heard, seen or read a case of euthanasia and finally 91% are in favor of euthanasia. It was identified that 75.3% of those surveyed had a high level of knowledge about euthanasia and 52.6% had a low level of knowledge regarding opinions about attitudes. The research showed that there is a correlation between the level of knowledge and attitudes towards euthanasia. Conclusions: The analysis of the attitudes of Nursing students towards euthanasia revealed a variety of opinions, from favorable positions to rejections, despite the fact that they had knowledge about legal, ethical and medical aspects related to euthanasia.

Introduction: Exclusive breastfeeding is a public health priority. It is a type of feeding in which infants receive only breast milk from the mother and no other solid or liquid food except for vitamins, minerals, or medications. Objective: To evaluate breastfeeding attitudes and techniques in women from a breastfeeding support group. Methods: This is a quantitative, descriptive, quasi-experimental (before and after) study. This included a pretest, an educational intervention based on the technical guide for breastfeeding training validated by the State of Mexico, and a posttest with a census-based sample of 24 breastfeeding women and 6 pregnant women. Measurements were performed using the Iowa Infant Feeding Attitudes Scale (IFFAS) and the Bristol Breastfeeding Assessment Tool (BBAT). The meeting lasted 40 minutes to promote and educate women on breastfeeding attitudes and techniques. Results: The interpretation of this research is that initially, a neutral attitude predominated, with 46.7% of women, whereas after the intervention, most women adopted a cheerful outlook toward breastfeeding, with 86.7%. This change was statistically significant according to the Wilcoxon test (p < 0.05), demonstrating the positive impact of the intervention. Conclusions: These results reflect that the educational intervention not only strengthened breastfeeding technical skills but also favorably influenced women's perceptions and attitudes toward breastfeeding. It is concluded that the intervention was effective in improving both knowledge and practice regarding breastfeeding within the support group.

Results: In the first dimension, 39.9% report disagreeing about not wanting to contribute to scientific research, believing that their opinions are not taken into account. In the second dimension, 45.7% disagree with the item scientific research is not interesting because it is unrealistic. In the third dimension, 49.0% agree that research is in their area of interest and 38.4% enjoy doing scientific research. The objective of this study was to describe the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of coaches from various sports disciplines through a survey. The study was descriptive, with a non-probabilistic sample, and involved 60 coaches. The results revealed a low level of knowledge regarding energy-protein requirements and supplementation, as well as a high percentage of attitudes and practices that present a risk for the development of eating disorders.

Objective. To evaluate the level of knowledge about palliative care possessed by nursing students from the Technical University of Ambato. Methodology. Quantitative approach, non-experimental-cross-sectional design and descriptive scope. The population was 133 seventh semester students of the Nursing Degree, from which a sample of 70 students was determined by a simple random probabilistic sampling type, to whom the questionnaire "Palliative Care Quiz for Nurses" was applied. This questionnaire evaluates the level of knowledge about palliative care, consists of 20 items with dichotomous answers. Results. 74.3% of the participants have sufficient knowledge about palliative care, of which 76.1% are women. Pain and symptom management (74.3%) and Philosophy and principles (62.9%) are the dimensions with the most correct answers. However, the Psychological and spiritual dimension (41.3%) becomes the dimension with the least correct answers. Pain treatment is the most understood dimension. Conclusion. Although students show favorable attitudes, it is still essential to increase their academic training in the philosophical and psychosocial dimensions of palliative care.

Introduction: The oral emergency pill contains progestin, which acts by preventing fertilization if administered in the first 72 hours after intercourse. Objective: This research aims to measure students' knowledge about its correct use. Method: In this study, the quantitative, analytical, cross-sectional, nonexperimental approach was used as the study methodology; data collection was through a validated instrument. The sample was made up of 120 nursing students, belonging to the Technical University of Ambato, from the basic and professional areas. The results obtained were that in the basic area 51% have a high knowledge about the generalities of the morning-after pill. With more than 40%, the basic area has average knowledge about the pharmacological action of the pill. Knowledge is average with more than 41% about the dose and method of use of the drug, also the basic area. In the knowledge of the adverse reactions caused by the pill, the professional area of the students has a low level with 38%. Conclusions: It is concluded that students at the basic level of the nursing career have greater knowledge of the morning after pill compared to the professional area.

The Human Papilloma Virus is one of the most prevalent sexually transmitted infections in women and has been identified as a precursor to cervical cancer. The objective of this research is to evaluate the level of knowledge of the human papillomavirus and the application of the vaccine in high school students. The population consisted of 138 high school students from the Mejía D7 Educational Unit (Quito-Ecuador), whose sample consisted of 96 students selected through stratified sampling, to whom an instrument called "Knowledge about the human papillomavirus vaccine" was applied. This instrument collects information on 4 demographic variables and 18 true and false questions divided into two dimensions: 10 on general knowledge and 8 on vaccine administration. The results of the study show that the level of knowledge about general aspects about the HPV virus in high school students was 21.9% and in terms of knowledge about the administration of the vaccinewas 58.4%. However, the overall knowledge on the subject is 40.6%. In conclusion, the levelof knowledge about the HPV virus and the administration of its vaccine in high school students is medium-high, but there is still a large percentage of students who do not know the importance of the vaccine and how to prevent infection.

Alternative therapies play an essential role in nursing practice, providing professionals with the ability to offer comprehensive care that includes physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of health. However, it seems that there is a low level of knowledge and applicability in relation to these alternative therapies. Thus, the objective was to determine the use of alternative therapies in nursing care. To achieve this, a quantitative descriptive approach with a cross-sectional design was used. The participants were 100 nurses from the province of Tungurahua selected through a non-probabilistic sampling by convenience to whom a questionnaire about alternative therapies was applied. The results indicated that training and knowledge regarding alternative therapies were low among nursing professionals, despite their medium level of applicability. The most known therapies were massage therapy and aromatherapy, while massage therapy, again, and relaxation were the most used by nursing staff. These findings underscore the need for improved training and education in alternative therapies in the nursing setting in order to maximize their beneficial potential for patients.
