This thesis, entitled "Emotional states and significant learning” explores the relationship between emotions and the ability of students to build meaningful learning. From a psychopedagogical approach, the study seeks to identify how emotional states influence the process of acquisition, retention and application of knowledge in an Ecuadorian educational context. The theoretical framework is based on philosophical currents such as constructivism, humanism and neurolearning, integrating key concepts about meaningful learning, emotions and their pedagogical implications. The methodology used is a mixed approach, with quantitative and qualitative instruments applied to third-year high school students, using as tools the TMMS-24 scale and a structured questionnaire that measures the level of meaningful learning, which allows a comprehensive analysis of the problem. Among the main findings, it is highlighted that stable emotional states significantly enhance meaningful learning, while unstable ones hinder it.
