Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2024-02) Ortega Guaita, José Luis; Rosero Mantilla, César AníbalThe research work carried out at the textile company EDY SÁNCHEZ SPORT allowed for proposing improvements in the plant layout based on the study of the current situation to optimize workspaces and production resource flow. The objective was to analyze a proposal for a plant redistribution at the textile company EDY SÁNCHEZ SPORT based on data collection from the production process, starting from the current situation of the plant, resulting in: the company has three major processes distributed throughout the plant with a total of 30 activities, taking a time of 1961.56 s. and a distance of 113.77 m. to produce the highest demand product (Physical Education Hood of La Inmaculada). By using the SLP methodology, the appropriate sequence of activities was determined, and by employing the Guerchet method, it was determined that the company requires 195.36 m^2 for the placement of all objects in the plant. Through the proposal of two alternatives, it is suggested that sequence B allows for greater optimization with a total displacement of 73.40 m. and a working time of 1818.74 s., resulting in the production of 49 extra garments per month of work. Finally, through the analysis of load - distance, it was obtained that the company can reduce its monthly route from 7053.74 m. to a total of 4937.90 m.Item Redistribución de instalaciones en el área de producción de la empresa Lácteos Amilac(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2023-09) Clavón Taipe, Doris Fernanda; Naranjo Chiriboga, Israel ErnestoThe present investigation, allowed to identify the current distribution of the plant, with the purpose of determining improvements in time and distances traveled by the personnel in the handling of materials, as well as in the work spaces. The objective was to determine the current situation of LÁCTEOS AMILAC`s company to elaborate a plant distribution, based on 3 stages: First, the information gathering was elaborated through a study of times and movements, carried out on the 11 processes to elaborate the yogurt in its different presentations and flavors, giving a result of 745.78 minutes and 29.32 meters required to prepare and transport a batch of 500 liters. Second, the current layout was elaborated, to identify the workspaces, the Guerchet method allowed to size the areas and, through the use of the SLP methodology and the QM for Windows software, it was determined that there are 3 unnecessary objects and a high degree of of routes by the staff, once the proposal for the new plant distribution was regulated, the time used to prepare the production was adjusted to 735.57 minutes and 15.34 meters, this optimizes the plant by 1.37% of the time spent and 47.68% in relation to the routes, improving the spaces for the movement of operators and reducing the displacement of supplies and work tools. Finally, the cost of handling materials is calculated, determining that the company may have a monthly saving of $160.80, equivalent to 47.68%.Item Mejora de los procesos de producción mediante el estudio de tiempos y movimientos en la empresa de productos lácteos Rengifo Gallo “Poltreg”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2023-03) Heredia Bungacho, Alex Javier; Ortiz Guerrero, Daysi MargaritaThe study of times and movements represents a fundamental tool for the diagnosis and improvement of processes because it offers the possibility of determining processing times, standardizing processes and eliminating all unproductive activities or tasks in order to reduce waste of both time and money, contributing to the increase of production capacity and competitiveness in the market. The objective of the research project is to develop an improvement proposal for the cheese production line of the dairy products company Rengifo Gallo. A study of times and movements was carried out on the most demanded product, for which the performance index, supplements, and standard time of each process were determined, allowing to identify and eliminate unproductive activities and a new work model was proposed through the application of the Theory of Constraints (TOC), to create standards that contribute to increase productivity and efficiency.The TOC methodology made it possible to increase the production capacity of the bottleneck, that is, the salting process; a new salting method was used combining salt in grain and brine, which accelerated its absorption and thus reduced time; by applying the same methodology to the pressing process, it was possible to take advantage of the operators' leisure time to optimize the time of this activity by applying pressure on the cheeses. The elimination of unproductive tasks, the application of TOC and line balancing represented a 29.85% increase in production, that is, from 67 to 87 batches of cheese per week to meet market demand in a satisfactory manner. A study of bus dashboard model with the highest demand manufacturing process was carried out, which was obtained from the company's sales history and ABC graph application, in addition, flowcharts, analytical diagrams and route diagrams that facilitate understanding of production process. Time and motion study was carried out to obtain standard time of productive activities in manufacturing process of selected board with ABC graph, later, production capacity of company was calculated, this for the purpose of Suggest process improvements. As a result, standard time of all the activities that are part of production process of the bus dashboard with the highest demand during the year 2021 was obtained, with this information calculation of production capacity at company and lines balancing was developed in this process, this the optimal theoretical number of workstations was determined, and a redesign of the production area was developed, to reduce the process transfer distances. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2022-09) Remache Aimacaña, Edison Geovanny; Ortiz Guerrero, Daysi MargaritaThe purpose of this research work was to propose a proposal for improvement in the production process within the post-harvest area of the flower company FLORES LA UNIÓN, a proposal that considers; First, to propose an efficient work method, with a technical investigation, consequently with its correct implementation, it was possible to increase the productive capacity within the facilities. For the research work, three stages were considered: the collection of information on the current production process, the approach of a proposal for improvement in said process and finally the validation of the improvements with a simulation within the production environment. Most of the sales made by the company Flores la Unión are carnations to the country Russia, through an ABC analysis it was determined that the product with the highest commercialization is the select red carnation, the present study of times and movements focused on the production of said product, through the study carried out, it was determined that the productive capacity of the company is 166 Qb boxes of select red carnations per day, which is equivalent to 2656 bunches of carnations per day and 66400 carnation stems. When the post-harvest was installed, there was no previous work study, currently there are delays when meeting the flower demand, at the end of the work day, there are boxes left to pack, which has as a consequence expenses for the company such such as paying overtime, to improve the productive capacity, it was suggested to acquire a new stretcher machine and hire new personnel for the immersion area, for which a simulation was carried out in the Flexsim software to validate the proposals, with the results obtained an improvement is observed In the process, the production capacity went from 166 Qb boxes per day to a total of 234 Qb boxes, that is, 68 additional Qb boxes of carnations are packed within a work day, there is an improvement of 42,767%, with which corroborates that the proposed improvements are effective, covering a part of the excess demand for existing carnations.Item Estudio de tiempos y movimientos para la mejora de la productividad en la empresa Compubordado(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. The applied methodology was of a qualitative-quantitative type due to the fact that data was collected through direct observation and interview, in addition to the processing time for each task, cycle time of the production process, number of operators, process flow and conditions. current production. On the other hand, secondary data, which included a brief history and organizational structure of the company and effective working hours. From the information obtained, several products that are made in the company were identified, so the ABC classification method was applied, where it is concluded that the product to be analyzed is the polo shirt because it is the one with the highest demand and valorization. for the company. Activity and analysis diagrams were used for each process, as well as time and movement study formats, in the measurement of the work it was obtained as a result, that the bottleneck is the manufacturing area since it is where they carry out the greatest amount operations and therefore entails a longer production time, the current standard time for the production of polo shirts was obtained from the analysis, which was 36.99 minutes. An improvement proposal was developed based on the study of times and movements where it is proposed, the standardization of operations, a new work methodology, the redistribution of machines and also, the organization of the work space to facilitate the search for materials and equipment through the 5s methodology, where the new standard time is obtained as a result, which is 32.70 minutes, which translates into an increase of 779 polo shirts per month to 881, that is, an improvement of 13% compared to the method current.Item Estudio de tiempos y movimientos en el área de abastecimiento de la empresa ciudad del auto Ciauto Cía. This method includes the five steps: Seiri (sort), Seiton (set in order), Seisi (shine), Seiketsu (standardize), and Shitsuke (sustain), to achieve the optimization of production times and improve the workspace. Firstly, technical visits to the company are planned for data collection, then the general description of the company is developed, as well as the selection of the truck model for the study through an ABC Pareto analysis, obtaining the Wingle 7 Diesel 4x4 truck; additionally the situational diagnosis activities of the unpacking process is even detailed through the determination of three criteria: high, medium and low that are considered in the process. The applied methodology in the study of times and movements begins with the return to zero, which consists on taking the times directly for each activity, with the help of the measuring instrument which is the stopwatch, in addition, the number of cycles was determined according to General Electric criteria for each one of them. In this way, the calculation of the work pace, constant and variable supplements according to the International Labor Organization (ILO) are made in order to finish with the calculation of the standard time. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2022-09) Espín Silva, Stalin Fabricio; Guachimbosa Villalba, Víctor HugoThe purpose of this research is to carry out a study of times, movements and optimization of the company REENCAUCHADORA DE LA SIERRA, CAUCHOSIERRA S.A. in order to eliminate rework and waste in the process line. The diagnosis of the current situation of the activities and operations that are carried out in the company for the retreading of tires, determined that the operators of the production line did not have a productive standardization due to the lack of internal control, idle times and unnecessary displacements, are the result of a gradual development without focus on studies that plan the distribution of resources. The study of times and movements through cumulative timing with a team with calibration certification for measurement, was carried out with the objective of reducing the error in the timing of tire retreading activities. The process improvement proposal eliminated 12 work activities, equivalent to 6.15%, and optimized the cycle time in 14.37 minutes, equivalent to 5.67% of production. The workers in the vulcanizing and repairs area benefited from the reduction of inefficient tasks and the increase in the level of work.Item Mejora en la planeación de producción de la empresa D´Christian Maryuri utilizando un plan de requerimiento de materiales(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2022-03) López Rivas, Alexis Xavier; Naranjo Chiriboga, Israel ErnestoThis research work details the development of a material requirement plan for a medium-sized company in the textile sector, which is dedicated to the manufacture of underwear for men, women, boys and girls, located in the Santa Rosa parish. , from the province of Tungurahua. Various industrial engineering techniques focused on the field of production planning are applied, such as: time study, calculation of forecasts with trend factor, calculation of production capacity, analysis and calculation of production costs, aggregate planning, a production master plan. Within a structured list of materials, costs for acquisition and supply of material, costs per order and delivery times are involved, information of great importance for the development of an MRP, which has been carried out at three levels, 1) determination of an aggregate production plan through the analysis of three traditional models corresponding to leveling capacity with inventories, matching demand and subcontracting, the latter being the most suitable for the company based on its economic activity, internal capacity, available labor and number of orders by the customer with a cost of $128,980.20, 2) a master production plan, in which the batch size to be produced per week in a period of 3 months is determined and whose feasibility is determined by the capacity requirement calculation and 3) a list of the gross material requirements to cover the monthly demand, resulting in a p issued whose releases consist of exact amount and date. The application of this MRP system allows greater coordination and control in the management and supply of raw material and supplies for the manufacture of articles, optimizes material and economic resources, generating with the proposed model an improvement of 11% corresponding to economic savings. of $102,124.18 in relation to production costs.Item Planeación de la capacidad de producción en la empresa lavadora y tintorería de jeans “ECUATINTEX”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2022-03) Miranda Jinde, Dennis Alexander; Ortiz Sailema, Christian IsmaelThis research project proposes a Capacity planning for the Ecuatintex washing and dyeing company, through aggregate planning, an important methodology importance that allows evaluating and decisions making regarding resources to face the demand. To recognize the current state of the company, the business activity, strategies and documentary information were identified, when managing its labor resources, this through direct observation, a management and accounting area interview, it was evidenced that the company It does not have any documentary plan and they are based more on judgments and owners’ criteria. Based on this premise, an analysis was started to know the production process, as a complement the study of times and movements was carried out, likewise man-machine diagrams were elaborated in the washing area, in order to have the standard times, cycle times and processing times of washing services. The time series analysis yielded month-by-month forecast results of the washing services under study for the year 2022, on the other hand, more relevant cost involved in the preparation of the planning were calculated. Finally, the capacity planning proposal with aggregate planning is prepared, resulting in a cost of $276,198.53 for aggregate planning with a constant workforce with overtime at 50% and 100%, as the most economical proposal, finally the number of machines needed in the long term to meet the demand was calculated
