Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2024-02) Ortega Guaita, José Luis; Rosero Mantilla, César AníbalThe research work carried out at the textile company EDY SÁNCHEZ SPORT allowed for proposing improvements in the plant layout based on the study of the current situation to optimize workspaces and production resource flow. The objective was to analyze a proposal for a plant redistribution at the textile company EDY SÁNCHEZ SPORT based on data collection from the production process, starting from the current situation of the plant, resulting in: the company has three major processes distributed throughout the plant with a total of 30 activities, taking a time of 1961.56 s. and a distance of 113.77 m. to produce the highest demand product (Physical Education Hood of La Inmaculada). By using the SLP methodology, the appropriate sequence of activities was determined, and by employing the Guerchet method, it was determined that the company requires 195.36 m^2 for the placement of all objects in the plant. Through the proposal of two alternatives, it is suggested that sequence B allows for greater optimization with a total displacement of 73.40 m. and a working time of 1818.74 s., resulting in the production of 49 extra garments per month of work. Finally, through the analysis of load - distance, it was obtained that the company can reduce its monthly route from 7053.74 m. to a total of 4937.90 m.Item Redistribución de instalaciones en el área de producción de la empresa Lácteos Amilac(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2023-09) Clavón Taipe, Doris Fernanda; Naranjo Chiriboga, Israel ErnestoThe present investigation, allowed to identify the current distribution of the plant, with the purpose of determining improvements in time and distances traveled by the personnel in the handling of materials, as well as in the work spaces. The objective was to determine the current situation of LÁCTEOS AMILAC`s company to elaborate a plant distribution, based on 3 stages: First, the information gathering was elaborated through a study of times and movements, carried out on the 11 processes to elaborate the yogurt in its different presentations and flavors, giving a result of 745.78 minutes and 29.32 meters required to prepare and transport a batch of 500 liters. Second, the current layout was elaborated, to identify the workspaces, the Guerchet method allowed to size the areas and, through the use of the SLP methodology and the QM for Windows software, it was determined that there are 3 unnecessary objects and a high degree of of routes by the staff, once the proposal for the new plant distribution was regulated, the time used to prepare the production was adjusted to 735.57 minutes and 15.34 meters, this optimizes the plant by 1.37% of the time spent and 47.68% in relation to the routes, improving the spaces for the movement of operators and reducing the displacement of supplies and work tools. Finally, the cost of handling materials is calculated, determining that the company may have a monthly saving of $160.80, equivalent to 47.68%.Item Herramientas de manufactura esbelta para la mejora continua de los procesos en un restaurante de comida rápida(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. With an initial analysis, the main changes within the process were identified, in order to provide a solution to the problems encountered, the management of a reference implementation proposal for lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies in restaurant processes is proposed. . Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2022) Orozco Vásquez, Cristian Javier; Ortiz Sailema, Christian IsmaelThis research project arises with the need to improve the process of making yogurt, the general objective is based in realize a study of times and movements for the optimization of the production process of the product with the highest demand in the company "Pasteurizadora Nutrición y Vida S.A", the ABC methodology was used to determine the star product. The product with the highest demand in the production line is the yogurt in bottle of 4-liter Strawberry flavor, with the time study it was identified that the process that slows down the production line is lactic fermentation, which limits the company's production capacity to 99 units per day; for the movement study, the bimanual diagram was applied, which reduced a total of 11 non-efficient movements. In addition, an improvement proposal was made which deals with a plant redistribution applying the SLP method, also the number of machines needed for each area was calculated in order to increase production capacity, the FlexSim tool was used to simulate the current and proposed situation. Finally, the results of the plant redistribution show a reduction from 559.48 to 342.75 meters was obtained, decreasing 38.75% in distance traveled, also an improvement of 0.60% was obtained in process time from 1544.47 to 1535.87 minutes. 87 minutes, subsequently it was determined that one more machine is needed in the fermentation area, by simulating these results a production of 3500 units/month was obtained, comparing the current production vs. the improvement represents an increase of 1280 units which corresponds to an increase of 57.66% in production and a growth in monetary value equivalent to $3456.00.Item Estudio de tiempos y movimientos para mejorar la productividad en el proceso de elaboración de calzado casual de hombre en la empresa calzado KF Barona(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2022-09) Martínez Soto, Bryan Alexander; Ortiz Sailema, Christian IsmaelThe purpose of this research work was improve the productivity of the company Calzado KF Barona, developing a study of times and movements in the process of manufacturing men's casual footwear. Through this study, time wastes and excessive transports have been identified due to a bad distribution of the production process and that is why a plant redistribution proposal has been made using the SLP methodology in order to establish a chain production that benefits the company by improving its productivity. Therefore, it is important to highlight the steps for the development of the research, which begins with the collection of information of the company and the current production processes within it, using tools such as flowcharts and flowcharts to recognize the activities that are performed in each area; it continues with the taking of times and movements of these activities within each area, identifying the bottleneck and excessive travel times that harm the company. From this, a plant redistribution is proposed through the SLP methodology that reduces these time wastes, organizing correctly the work areas and allowing a better flow of material. Reducing in more than 70% the transports, optimizing the processes, achieving an increase of the production in 88 pairs per month and raising the production capacity in 8.4%, which reflects the improvement of the productivity allowing gains of $880 per month in monetary values.Item Estudio de tiempos y movimientos de los procesos de mantenimiento de las casetas en el taller de guías y montajes de los trenes 1 y 2 de la empresa Novacero S.A. planta Lasso(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2022-09) Cañar Robalino, Pablo Alejandro; López Arboleda, Jessica PaolaThe following research project deals with the study of times and movements in the maintenance processes of the rolling stands in the guide and assembly workshop of production trains 1 and 2 of the company NOVACERO S.A. Lasso plant in order to standardize processes, reduce times and movements, in addition to seeking improvement situations in maintenance activities; the problem lies in the fact that the maintenance processes are not completely documented and in the non-existence of records of the execution times of the activities. This makes it difficult to plan maintenance stops for production trains, as well as reducing the chances of discovering opportunities for improvement in the work method, transfers or plant layout. Through a study of times and movements, using the Westinghouse system for the assessment of the pace of work and the allocation of supplements according to the International Labor Organization (ILO), a plant distribution is proposed for the workshop of guides and assemblies through the SLP method through which to optimize times and distances in the execution of the maintenance processes of rolling stands. The result was a 2.62% reduction in the execution time of the maintenance process and a 65.56% reduction in the total distance traveled within the workshop. Changed the distribution type from a fixed and process layout in the current distribution to a line process layout in the proposed distribution. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2020-01) Yuccha Cuno, Edgar Aníbal; Naranjo Chiriboga, Israel ErnestoEl trabajo de investigación tiene como finalidad la presentación de una propuesta de distribución de instalaciones para la nueva planta de producción de la empresa de calzado CASS, propuesta que es rentable y de gran utilidad al permitir evaluar los principales factores que afectan a la productividad como las grandes distancias recorridas e inadecuado uso del espacio. Para el proyecto se considera tres etapas, el levantamiento de la información del proceso productivo actual, aplicación de técnicas de distribución de instalaciones y toma de decisiones con una herramienta multicriterio. La generación de alternativas de distribución se llevó a cabo empleando el método SLP el cual emplea una visión cualitativa del problema; para la validación de la primera disposición física, se utilizó el método carga distancia permitiendo tener un resultado más técnico. Con la ayuda del software WinQSB especializado en resolución de problemas de la investigación operativa se genera una segunda alternativa de distribución tomando en cuenta las mismas restricciones físicas. En apoyo a la determinación de la distribución que brinde la mayor eficiencia para el proceso productivo, se optó por analizar ambas alternativas a través del proceso analítico jerárquico como técnica multicriterio para la toma de decisiones en el entorno del software Expert Choice. La propuesta de distribución se enmarca en el interés de diseñar una nueva disposición física con un criterio técnico y sustento tecnológico, por lo que el presente proyecto obtuvo ahorros considerables alcanzando una disminución de 232,50 metros en la distancia total recorrida, lo que equivale a 5,17 minutos menos en el tiempo total de fabricación. he work of investigation has as purpose the presentation of a proposal of distribution of facilities for the new plant of production of the company of footwear CASS, proposal that is profitable and very useful when allowing of evaluating the main factors that affect the productivity as the great whole ranges and inadequate use of the space. For the project one considers three stages, the rise of the information of the present productive process, application of techniques of distribution of facilities and decision making with a tool multicriterial. The generation of distribution alternatives was carried out using the method SLP which uses a qualitative vision of the problem; for the validation of the first physical disposition the method was used loads distance allowing to have a result more technician. With the aid of software WinQSB specialized in resolution of problems of the operations research one second alternative of distribution is generated taking in account the same physical restrictions. In support to the determination of the distribution that offers the greater efficiency for the productive process, it was chosen to analyze both alternatives through hierarchic analytical process as technical multicriterial for the decision making in the surroundings of software Expert Choice. The distribution proposal is framed in the interest to design a new physical disposition with a technical criterion and technological sustenance, reason why the present project obtained considerable savings reaching a diminution of 232.50 meters in the crossed total distance, which is equivalent less to 5.17 minutes in the total time of manufacture.
