Abstract The waste of the productive processes as delays detects the breach of the production plan as well as the losses of capacity and economic, therefore, this investigation has as a consequence a Lean Six Sigma analysis in the process of injection of shoe soles in the company Plasticaucho Industrial S.A. The project has a quantitative and qualitative approach, based on the DMAIC methodology that has the stages of definition, measurement, analysis, improvement and control of Lean Six Sigma, a non-probabilistic sampling is used for convenience and cycle time data is collected of mold change by means of the zero-turn timing technique; The data collected is processed using the Minitab software, to finally establish a proposal for improvement through the SMED system and validate the results with the simulation in FlexSim 2019. Based on the results obtained, the main problem that affects the fulfillment of the production plan is the change of normal mold, which is mainly due to not using necessary work tools and undetermined roles of the workers, then the sigma level is determined having a value of 2,33 on average, indicating that the centering of the process is approximate. It is concluded that the mold change process has an average yield of 79.34%, and an annual loss amount of $ 38.564,04. Therefore, it indicates the process does not meet the specification and requires improvement actions for the entire injection area.
