Item Sistema de telemetría para el control y monitoreo del consumo de agua en entornos residenciales basado en la arquitectura de Red Lorawan(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería en Electrónica y Comunicaciones, 2024-08) Saigua Uchuari, Sofia Elizabeth; Altamirano Meléndez, Santiago MauricioThe implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) increasingly addresses more fields in which it is possible to have control and monitoring of variables such as water flow, which gives a plus and bringing the digital era to another level where society is increasingly benefited. This research project shows how a novel telemetry system has been developed and implemented for the control and consumption of drinking water in residences, based on Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN, in short, as it will be used hereinafter), which therefore uses a communication protocol and network architecture, with which it is possible to make communication links between IoT devices. This prototype was implemented in two residences located in Venezuela and Casimiro Nieto streets in Canton Rumiñahui. The system consists of an end node, gateway or concentrator, network server and application server; The final nodes or final devices are the sensors installed in each residence that measure the water flow, these measurements have been tested and calibrated together with the measurements emitted by the analog meters and performing a mathematical operation based on the data obtained from the water sheets in cubic meters, These data are then sent through the LoRaWAN architecture to a Gateway, data that are sent to the server using a bidirectional and light MQTT messaging protocol and then displayed on the Node-Red dashboard, where the water consumption graphs are shown in real time. Regarding the development of the device for measuring the maximum force a patient can withstand, remarkable success has been achieved. The scalable and patient-friendly design, coupled with compact electronics, ensures accurate force measurements. The implementation of the information management and data visualization system is highlighted as essential. The intuitive interface and secure storage in a MySQL server ensure accessibility and confidentiality of patient data. The device was designed with an ergonomic and functional electronic focus, positioning it as a valuable tool in the field of physiotherapy. This project not only fills a gap in medical tools for physiotherapy but also lays the groundwork for future innovations in pain monitoring. Fiber optics are a particularly efficient means of transmitting information in the field of telecommunications and have become an essential element to carry out any activity. In this planning, design and implementation project, the network implemented by the company CLICKNET S.A. is analyzed with the aim of evaluating its current capacity to provide broadband services. Through this analysis, the maximum traffic capacity that the company provides from its main network to the distribution network to customers can be determined. Currently, customer demand for high-capacity broadband services continues to increase. With the advancement of technology, the need to improve browsing speed occurs at a higher level in sectors that do not have access to such technologies. The main objective of this project is to generate continuous traffic in both the main networks and the last mile network and reduce possible connection problems that subscribers may present, generating a system capable of controlling the traffic offered by various providers. Through the use of various processes intended for router and data traffic control devices, we can establish constant monitoring and increase the effectiveness of the network in the event of possible problems such as supplier outages or damage to the infrastructure.Item Sistema electrónico de entrenamiento de salto de longitud mediante visión artificial aplicado a deportistas con discapacidad visual(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Initially, a study was carried out on the current state of the difficulties that visually impaired athletes are exposed to when doing any sport, and thanks to the advancement of artificial vision in the different application areas, an electronic system based on hardware and software that allows the long jump training process to be carried out, in such a way that the athlete can be monitored and controlled, avoiding complications and injuries during training. The main objective of the electronic training system is based on the processing of images, these images depend on deep learning (Deep Learning), which reaches different levels of hierarchical details, so that the information that flows upwards is united, creating abstractions. and higher and more complex representations. For example, with digital images, pixels are combined into edges, edges into outlines, outlines into shapes, and finally shapes into objects. Obtaining as a result the recognition of the long jump track and the athletes in it. The system consists of 3 stages, the first stage of image acquisition, consisting of the sony wcx550 webcam that allows obtaining images in real time. In the second stage, processing, stable results were obtained, thanks to the use of a Raspberry Pi B3+ single-board computer, which processes the information obtained in the image acquisition stage and helps to detect people, contour detection and data management for the alert management stage. The system sends detection alerts for presence on the runway, alerts for the jump performed and stores the number of tests performed. However, for the use of the sensors and peripheral devices they must work with batteries or wired to a power source or electrical installation: Thanks to Energy Harvesting, energy from the environment can be used to power these low-consumption devices. Energy Harvesting is considered one of the revolutions of sustainable energy since its process of capturing energy is through the environment or nearby environment and converting it into electrical energy. [1]. The project will be carried out from the results obtained in energy capture systems previously developed by students of the Technical University of Ambato where it is intended to obtain parameters such as: voltage, charge-discharge time and the current that intervene in the storage systems, optimal for Energy Harvesting systems, the objective is to carry out tests on the Energy Harvesting system with different storage systems to improve the collection and storage of energy. For the project, data has been taken by monitoring the batteries together with the INA219 module, which allows reporting voltage and current, acquiring in real time. resulting in the charging and discharging of each storage system that were taken in a period of time between 90min to 4 hours resulting in supercapacitors. lithium ion and lithium polymer batteries can collect 0.3[mV], 0.2[mV] and 0.23[mV] in 90min respectively. This project arises due to the increase in crime in taxi cooperatives in the area, so it seeks to implement an effective method to reduce crime and victimization through facial recognition of the driver and the passenger. The importance of this system lies in its ability to obtain relevant information about passengers, such as possible legal issues, whether they are wanted criminals or have criminal records, which contributes to preventing dangerous situations for both passengers and the driver. Additionally, the facial recognition of the driver ensures that the vehicle is only used by the designated driver for that unit, increasing the safety of the passengers. An alcohol test is also incorporated, which can reduce the number of accidents caused by intoxicated drivers. The implementation of this system heavily relies on the existence of advanced facial recognition technology and IoT platforms that allow real-time data collection and visualization. The effects of implementing this system are highly significant, as it not only improves the quality of service provided by Patriatax S.A. taxi company but also increases the trust of users in public transportation. This platform provides adaptive video streaming content through free software over the Internet, allowing the development of content broadcasting through visual media. The OTT platform has become a popular and attractive method for attracting attention to the needs of users seeking entertainment, since it offers a wide variety of multimedia content, which generates a connection between the user and the service, providing a compatible and portable environment for any device. The realization of the project is based on the study, development and analysis of parameters that characterize the design of the OTT platform, considered as a method of strategy in improving the business model of the internet service provider Clicknet S.A. Allowing to be offered as an additional and free service by the provider, favoring the increase of profitability of the company's customers, and harboring preference over other internet service providers.
