Inf. Mg.
The present research was conducted with the objective of identifying the relationship between the level of stress and the dimensions of attention in children of the "Gonzalo Escudero" elementary school in the Saquisili canton, province of Cotopaxi. The research is quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional, with a sample of 94 girls and boys between 8 and 11 years of age. In the case of child stress, the Children's Daily Stress Inventory IECI was used to determine the levels of stress in the child, and for attention, the d2 attention test was applied, which shows the dimensions of selective attention in the child. Subsequently, using the SPSS program, Sperman's Rho test was performed, which indicated that there is no correlation between stress levels and the dimensions of attention. A high percentage was found in the "no stress" level, which leads to the conclusion that most children do not present stress in any of the areas of health, school and family, in terms of care it was found that the highest percentage of children presented high scores in the three dimensions of the test.

Depresión y su Influencia en la Maduración Visomotriz en los Estudiantes de Cuarto A Sexto Año de Educación Básica de la Unidad Educativa Manuela Espejo de la Ciudad de Ambato
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud-Carrera Psicología Clínica, 2016-05-01) Santana Guevara, Carmen Elena; Flores Hernández, Verónica Fernanda Psc. Cl. Mg
The main objective of the actual investigation was guided to analyze how depression effects on visuomotor maturity among students from fourth to sixth year of basic education from Unidad Educativa Manuela Espejo, where 238 students, male and female, were taken into account in the study. The research approach was quantitative as well as qualitative due to the use of numerical data obtained with the purpose of understanding the research problem. Additionally, included methods contributed to data gathering without the necessity of measurement systems. Descriptive techniques, observation, and theoretical assumptions allowed to sustain both depression and visuomotor maturity Statistical information was attained by standardized instruments, such as the Children’s Depression Inventory by M. Kovacs, which is responsible for setting the levels of depressive symptomatology amid children and adolescents from 6 to 17 years old, and the Bender Koppitz’s Test, which objective is focused on reflecting the maturity level of kids, thus possible dysfunctions could be revealed. The correlational analysis between the components of CDI and visuomotor maturation adduces that depression is correlated to visuomotor maturity. After a determination analysis, it establishes the existence of the bidirectional influence between both of them; confirming a substantial level of prediction. CDI prediction capacity about visuomotor maturity reach a 13, 9%, which means that changes in variability of visuomotor maturity, the 13, 9% is justified for depression.
