The overall objective of this study is to determine the link between internal communication and the work efficiency of the External Consultation staff of Hospital General Docente Ambato; Using the field research modality through the technique of the survey through the Psychosocial Factors Test composed of 30 questions grouped in 4 dimensions to measure the level of internal communication and work efficiency of the 96 people who work in the Area of External Query, these results were transferred to the status sheet of each of the dimensions. The independent internal communication variable was associated with dimension 2: training, information and communication; While the dependent variable was associated with dimension 3: time management. The results allow us to conclude that the factors that affect internal communication in the External Consultation Staff of the Hospital General Docente Ambato are the poor use of means of communication, ignorance of job profiles according to hierarchical levels, uncontrolled flows of informal communication and poor internal communication Of institutional planning, which blocks labor efficiency. The level of work efficiency is inadequate due to the inability of the employee to exercise autonomy over the pace of work since they cannot take breaks in their work place by the continuous and permanent process of customer service that often exceeds the working day And overtime is not recognized economically, generating stressful work environments that affect group and individual performance. Therefore, it is proposed the implementation of internal communication strategies based on endomarketing to raise the work efficiency of the External Consultation Staff of the Hospital General Docente Ambato with the purpose of supporting the achievement of institutional goals.
