Maestría en Gerencia de Institución de Salud., 2017) Barahona Alvear, Natalia Sofía; Aguilar Salazar, Aida FabiolaThis research was carried out in the Faculty of Sciences of the Polytechnic High School of Chimborazo located in the Pan American Sur km 1 1/2, Riobamba-Ecuador in the period 2015, participated 121 teachers of appointment and contract, the purpose of the investigation was to diagnose Healthy lifestyles in the diet and its relationship with the nutritional status, it was necessary to identify healthy lifestyles in food, nutritional status and information that the teachers have on food and nutrition, finally established the relationship between styles of Healthy life in food and nutritional status. The present study is justified based on the quality of life in which it is tried to promote, develop, improve, raise awareness, healthy lifestyles in teachers, to improve their eating habits and living conditions, avoiding diseases caused by the consumption of Inadequate food, initiating the promotion of health in the polytechnic community. Methodologically this research work is approached from the quantitative - qualitative point of view, with a cross - sectional descriptive study with the application of a field research design, no sample was calculated. The observation technique was observation. A questionnaire was used, structured on a Likert scale, with closed questions with one or several options, which included informational data, lifestyle data and eating habits and anthropometric measures. Chi-square analysis was used for the results, where all values of p = 0.000 were taken as significant, evidencing that there is greater consumption of sugars, junk food in teachers with Overweight-Obesity and among teachers with high waist-hip ratio, concluding that there is a higher percentage of overweight-obesity in men than in women.
