    Efecto de la harina de romero (Rosmarinus officinalis) para mejorar los parámetros productivos en pollos de engorde

    The present investigation evaluated the effects of Romero flour (Rosmarinus officinalis) in diets for broilers in the Puerto Arturo sector, belonging to the Izamba parish of Tungurahua Province, with this research it was sought to give an alternative to high and indiscriminate use of different antibiotics and growth promoters that is generally used in broiler chickens, in such a way that with the use of rosemary flour (Rosmarinus officinalis) it can be reduced and even avoid the incidence of diseases, reduce production costs and thus in this way obtain products of innocuous animal origin and of excellent quality suitable for human consumption. The investigation began with the preparation of rosemary flour (Rosmarinus officinalis) that consisted of the following steps: harvesting, selection, drying and grinding of rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis). The investigation was carried out using 200 broiler chickens of the Cobb 500 genetic line of one day of age, with an average weight of 41.2g on arrival, in the house the birds' beds were installed in the form of a square in which were located 20 experimental units with a number of 10 animals each. Rosemary flour (Rosmarinus officinalis) was added to the diet in doses of 0.5% (T1), 1.0% (T2), 1.5% (T3) and 0% (T0). A completely randomized design (DCA) was carried out. The data were analyzed using the analysis of variance and the Tukey test 5% for the treatments.

    Utilización de tres niveles de harina de jengibre (Zingiber officinalis) como promotor de crecimiento en dietas para pollos de engorde

    The present investigation evaluated the ginger flour (Zingiber offcinalis) as growth promoter in diets for broilers in the Lizarzaburu parish of the canton Riobamba province of Chimborazo, with this essay it was sought to give an alternative to the use of antibiotics as promoters of growth that It is currently used for raising broilers in such a way that with the use of Ginger flour (Zingiber officinalis) can reduce the incidence of diseases, reduce production costs and obtain products of animal origin innocuous for consumption human. This investigation began with the elaboration of the ginger flour (Zingiber offcinalis) that consisted with the following steps selection, drying, grinding and sieving of the ginger tubers (Zingiber offcinalis). The research was carried out with 320 broilers of the Cobb 500 line of one day of age with an average weight of 45.59g on arrival, the house was divided into 4 blocks with 2 repetitions in each, with a total of 32 units experimental Ginger flour (Zingiber officinalis) was added in doses of 0.1% (T1), 0.2% (T2), 0.3% (T3) and 0% (T0). A completely randomized block design (DBCA) was carried out. The data were analyzed using the analysis of variance and the Tukey test at 5% for the treatments. The results obtained significant differences (p <0.01) and (p <0.05) between the treatments being the best the T3 (0.3% inclusion of ginger flour) giving better results in both weight gain, feed conversion , food consumption, yield to the carcass and mortality. Evidenced in Tables 3, 4, 5 and 6 of this essay.

    Efecto de la harina de achiote (Bixa orellana) sobre la pigmentación a la canal e inmunoglobulinas en pollos de engorde

    The present study has the title: “EFFECT OF THE ANNATTO FLOUR (Bixa orellana) ON PIGMENTATION TO THE CHANNEL AND IMMUNOGLOBULINS IN CHICKENS OF FATTENING” in which 200 cobb 500 line chickens were evaluated, of one day age, divided into four treatments and five repetitions with 10 birds per experimental unit. The formulation of diets was taken for each treatment: T0 = control, T1 = 0.1% Bixa orellana, T2 = 0.2% Bixa orellana and T3 = 0.3% Bixa orellana, making the inclusion of Annatto flour in the fattening stage. The study lasted 49 days. I used a completely randomized design with analysis of variance and Tukey test at 5% but for the variable pigmentation was used the statistical package SPSS statistics v23. The results obtained were: for the variable immunoglobulin M; T0, T1, T2 and T3 were statistically equal; for the variable immunoglobulin G; T1, T2 and T3 were statistically different with T0, this indicates an increase in the response of this immunoglobulin; finally, in the variable pigmentation was obtained that there are no statistical differences between treatments.

    Comportamiento productivo y cuantificación de la biomasa residual disponible en un sistema cavícola.

    The project was developed at “Técnica de Ambato University” in the Agricultural Sciences Faculty (Ciencias Agropecuarias) during 75 days. In this document is described the Productive Behavior and Quantification of Available Residual Biomass in a Cavia System. The aims of the research were: rate the productive behavior and quantify the available residual biomass in guinea pigs that were fed with Italianryegrass (Lolium Multiflorum) with a balanced nutritious formulaand alfalfa or Lucerne (Medicago Sativa) with a balanced nutritious formula. Sixty guinea pigs were used as males as females, they were from 15 to 17 days old approximately, they were separated in two groups of 30 guinea pigs for each treatment. For the treatments were used two kinds of forage: Treatment 1: Italian ryegrass (Lolium Multiflorum) with a balanced nutritious formula. Treatment 2: alfalfa or Lucerne (Medicago Sativa) with a balanced nutritious formula. Each treatment was given 6 times with 5 repeated animals. The principal obtained results were the next: in animals that were fed with Lolium Multiflorum and a balanced nutritious formula ate 65.86g/MS per animal per day their weight increased 8.18g per animal per day by the other hand the other groupof animals that ate Medicago Sativa and a balanced nutritious formula ate 50.93g/MS per animal per day and won weight 7.54g per animal per day. In the nutritional conversion Lolium Multiflorum and a balanced nutritious formula obtained 8.06 while Medicago Sativa plus a balanced nutritious formula got 6.85. For the digestibility of dry material Treatment 1 got as result 62.55% while Treatment 2 got 61.-03%. For length and thorax perimeter at the end of the research Lolium Multiflorum plus a balanced nutritious formula obtained showed values of 6.43 cm and 6.2 cm per guinea pig respectively: on the other side Medicago Sativa plus a balanced nutritious formula got 6.86 cm for length and 5.73 cm pf thorax perimeter. Finally, biomass factor showed important differences obtaining as results 54.06g/MS per guinea pig per day in Treatment 1 and 48.38g/MS per guinea pig per day in Treatment 2.According to the results in Treatment 2 Medicago Sativa plus a balanced nutritious formulawould be the best food chooses for feeding Guinea Pigs.

    Efecto de la achira (Canna edulis) sobre el consumo voluntario y la digestibilidad aparente de nutrientes en cuyes (Cavia porcellus) en la etapa de engorde

    The objective of this inquiry was to evaluate the effect of ingestion of the diets based on achira flour on the productive behavior, voluntary consumption and apparent digestibility of nutrients the guinea pig. This research was carried out in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences - UTA. Twenty-eight male guinea pigs, of 8 weeks old were used, randomly distributed in four experimental diets: T1 with 0% of achira flour, T2 with 8% of achira flour, T3 with 16% of achira flour, T4 with 24% of Achira flour. Voluntary intake of nutrients from diets was evaluated; weight gain; Feed conversion and apparent nutrient digestibility. Voluntary intake of nutrients showed no difference between treatments for the following nutrients: dry matter (P = 0.0570) with 62.670 g / day in T2 being the highest value among treatments; Organic matter (P = 0.0377) for T2 with 64.933 g / day; Neutral detergent fiber (P = 0.0214) for T2 with 24,440 g / day and acid detergent fiber (P = 0.0346) for T2 11.6583 g / day. While for crude protein showed differences (P = <.0001) between treatments being the highest consumption for T2 (17.4567 g / day). Weight gain and feed conversion were better in T2 treatment with 12,607 g / day and 5.04. In the apparent digestibility, there was no difference between treatments for the following nutrients: dry matter (P = 0.7145) with 73.650 g / day in the T1 being its highest value between treatments; Organic matter (P = 0.8032) for T1 with 71.023g / day; Neutral detergent fiber (P = 0.4125) for T1 with 49.100 g / day and acid detergent fiber (P = 0.3217) for T1 39,057 g / day. While for protein (P = 0.9625) the highest consumption is for T2 with 70,295 g / day.

    Efecto de la harina de maracuyá (Passiflora edulis) sobre los parámetros zootécnicos en la alimentación de pollos de engorde

    In this paper the inclusion of flour Passionfruit (Passiflora edulis) on three levels and a witness on the zootechnical parameters in broiler feed were evaluated. The ensay was about 42 days and 4 diets 0 %, 3 %, 6 %, 9 % passion fruit flour were evaluated. 200 Cobb 500 chicks 1 day, arranged in four treatments and five replicates with 10 birds per experimental unit were used. Diets for each treatment (T0, T1, T2, T3) and for each stage (initial, growth, fattening) were formulated. Data were processed in Infostat and the results were; early stage T0 (0% flour passion fruit) and T1 (3% flour passion fruit) treatments are statistically equal and can be used flour passion fruit in this percentage unaffecting in the zootechnical parameters, T2 (6% flour passion fruit) and T3 (9% flour passion fruit) treatments are statistically different compared with the control and they have negative effects on the zootechnical parameters, so they are not advisable at this stage to use in these percentages the passion fruit flour. At the stage of growth and fattening treatments T1 (3% flour passion fruit) and T2 (6% flour passion fruit) are equal to the control (0% flour passion fruit), and do not influence the zootechnical parameters on growth stage and fattening, determining that the inclusion of these percentages are comparable in broilers. T3 treatment is statistically different from the other ones and passion fruit meal inclusion in this percentage is not recommended, because it reduces the zootechnical indexes.     Rendimiento de forraje de árboles, arbustos y preferencia de consumo en conejos

    The aim of this research was evaluate the yield of fodder biomass of trees and shrubs, as well as, the preference of fodder in rabbits. This research was conducted at the Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias-UTA. The forage yield, nutritional value, secondary compounds and preference of forage of: Malva sylvestris, Baccharis floribunda, Sparticum junceum, Ambrosia arborescens and Paraserianthes lophantha were determined. This research was conducted under a completely randomized design. The variables studied are analyzed by analysis of variance according to the design used. The yield of fodder biomass was higher (P = 0,0001) for M. sylvestris, A. arborescens and P. lophantha (459,2; 551,1; 682,6 gDM/plant respectively) compared with the other forages. The results of Phytochemical screening show that Malva sylvestris has slight concentration of saponins. P. lophantha showed high concentration of tannins, and S. junceum high presence of total phenols. The higher (P = 0,0001) preference of fodder was for M. sylvestris (18,44 gDM/day), followed by B. floribunda (8,6 gDM/day) and S. junceum (9,4 gDM/day) and the lowest preference for P. lophantha (3,8 gDM/day) and A. arborescens (3,7 gDM/day). It’s concluded that the bushes as M. sylvestris, B. floribunda and S. junceum can be used as feed for rabbits, for their high yield of forage biomass, protein content and low fiber values and secondary compounds.

    Evaluación de tres fuentes de metionina como aditivo nutricional en la dieta de pollos de engorde (Gallus domesticas).

    El presente ensayo se realizó en la provincia de Tungurahua, cantón Ambato, parroquia Luis. N. Martínez, en la comunidad de Samanga, con un clima templado seco, su temperatura media oscila entre 14 ºC y 19 ºC, se encuentra ubicada a 78°; 37' 11’’; de longitud con relación al Meridiano de Greenwich y a 1° 13' 28” de latitud sur con relación a la Línea Equinoccial, a 2.600 metros sobre el nivel del mar, aproximadamente, con el fin de realizar la tesis titulada: “Evaluación de tres fuentes de metionina como aditivo nutricional en la dieta de pollos de engorde (Gallus domesticas)” Se realizó tres tratamientos, cuatro repeticiones, con el diseño experimental: bloques completamente al azar (DBCA). Se efectuó análisis de variancia (ADEVA), pruebas de significación de Tukey al 5%, además del análisis beneficio-costo (RBC). Los mejores resultados al tomar los datos en todos y cada una de las etapas durante el desarrollo del ensayo se obtuvieron con la utilización de la dieta balanceada que contiene DL-Metionina, con la cual, los pollos reportaron los más altos pesos (437,5 g a la etapa inicial, 1758,5 g a la etapa de crecimiento y 3522 g a la etapa de engorde), la mejor ganancia de peso (400 g a la etapa inicial, 1321 g a la etapa de crecimiento y 1763,5 g a la etapa de engorde), los mejores índices de conversión alimenticia (1,081 a la etapa inicial, 1,771 a la etapa de crecimiento, 2,089 a la etapa de engorde) y la mejor eficiencia (322,26 al terminar la ensayo), con una mortalidad del 5%. En cuanto al análisis económico se dice que, el tratamiento de DL-Metionina, alcanzó la mayor relación beneficio-costo de 1,21, siendo el tratamiento más rentable, seguida del tratamiento Metionina Herbal con una relación beneficio-costo de 1,16.
