    Identificación de helmintos gastrointestinales zoonóticos en primates en cautiverio

    The present research entitled "Identification of zoonotic gastrointestinal helminths in captive primates", aimed to identify zoonotic gastrointestinal helminths in captive primates of the San Martín Ecozoological in the city of Baños. A total of 21 fecal samples were taken from the year of seven species of primates: Saimiri sciureus, Ateles belzebuth, Callicebus discolor, Cebus cappucinos, Cebus albifrons, Lagotrix lagotricha, Ateles fusciceps and a coproparasitary study using Faust concentration and flotation technique ; obtaining 80.96% negative to helminths, while 19.04% presented: eggs of Trichuris spp, Strongiloides spp, and Oxyuroides and also Strongiloides spp larvae, with a prevalence rate of 4.76 % for each parasitic finding.
