Item La autenticidad cultural y el turismo vivencial de la comunidad Tigua(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación-Carrera de Turismo, 2026-01-06) Pallo Orozco Kerly Antonela; González Sánchez Angélica María; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación-Carrera de TurismoThe general objective of this study was to analyze cultural authenticity and its connection to experiential tourism in the community of Tigua, an Andean territory recognized for its strong identity, ancestral worldview, and traditional pictorial art. The research is highly relevant, as it allows us to understand how the local cultures intertwine and generate each of the tourism experiences that underscore community identity and promote sustainable and respectful tourism. The methodology used was qualitative and phenomenological, based on direct observation, field notes, and semistructured interviews with artisans and key tourism stakeholders. This approach allowed researchers to capture perceptions, meanings, and experiences related to cultural authenticity. The results show that Tigua's authenticity is expressed in its art, its spiritual connection to the land, community hospitality, and the genuine interaction between visitors and residents, aspects that generate feelings of belonging and personal transformation in both tourists and the local community. Furthermore, the study confirmed that the people of Tigua value tourism and its relationship to their traditions. Finally, cultural authenticity is the central keystone of experiential tourism in Tigua and the opportunity they have to strengthen their cultural heritage, identity, and to design their sustainable tourism proposals based on community participation, which seeks to achieve cultural authenticity.Item La pintura Naif y el turismo vivencial en la comunidad de Tigua, cantón Pujilí(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación-Carrera de Turismo, 2025-12-17) Chaluisa Umajinga Sisa Mercedes; González Sánchez Angélica María; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación-Carrera de TurismoThe research aimed to analyze the influence of Naif painting on the strengthening of experiential tourism in the community of Tigua, located in the province of Cotopaxi. This study was based on recognizing this artistic manifestation as an authentic reflection of the cultural identity of the Kichwa Panzaleo people and, at the same time, as an expression that preserves the Andean worldview. The research followed a qualitative and descriptive approach, applying techniques such as observation, interviews with local artists, and surveys of tourists to understand the perception and the sociocultural and economic impact generated by this practice. The results showed that Naif painting has become a symbol of cultural resistance and a means of transmitting ancestral knowledge, while also promoting new opportunities for tourism and economic development within the community. Surveys revealed that visitors experienced high levels of emotional, spiritual, and cultural satisfaction due to their participation in experiential activities related to Naif art, strengthening the appreciation of Tigua’s intangible cultural heritage. Finally, as a response to the diagnostic phase, the creation of a website was proposed to promote and disseminate Naif art and experiential tourism. This digital tool represents a sustainable strategy that combines technology with local identity, contributing to the projection of Naif art as a living cultural heritage and to the touristic positioning of Tigua at a national and international level.Item La Medicina Ancestral y el Turismo Vivencial en el cantón Salcedo(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación-Carrera de Turismo, 2025-12-15) Toapanta León Melany Maritza; Viteri Toro María Fernanda; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación-Carrera de TurismoThis research was conducted to investigate the relationship between ancestral medicine and experiential tourism in the Salcedo canton. The importance of this project lies in understanding how ancestral medicine is integrated with tourist experiences and experiential tourism to strengthen local identity. The research employed a qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory approach, utilizing the INPC A3 form for social uses, rituals, and festive events, along with field notes. This allowed for the direct collection of information on various ancestral medicine practices as part of experiential tourism through participatory observation and interaction with healers. A non-probabilistic convenience sampling method was used, which yielded results demonstrating a high level of knowledge transmission and cultural and spiritual value regarding ancestral practices. However, it also revealed significant limitations in tourism infrastructure. In conclusion, ancestral medicine creates a strategic axis to consolidate authentic and ethical experiential tourism in Salcedo. To this end, the creation of an interactive museum of ancestral medicine on the Spatial platform was proposed as an immersive tool to promote local development and the preservation of local identity.Item Las técnicas artesanales y el turismo vivencial en la parroquia San Miguelito, Cantón Píllaro(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Turismo, 2025-07-04) Llumitaxi Cajas Esthela Monserrath; Toledo Villacis Marco Antonio; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de TurismoThe present research work entitled “Artisan Techniques and Experiential Tourism in the San Miguelito parish, Píllaro canton” was carried out with the objective of identifying the artisan techniques still existing and determining the potential of experiential tourism within the parish. A qualitative approach methodology was used with an inductive method under a non-experimental design of transversal type using a phenomenological scope and a non-probabilistic sampling of intentional or opinionated type. Two types of instruments were used for data collection: CPI A5 cards for the independent variable and a structured interview with open-ended questions for the dependent variable; as a result of the INPC files, it was possible to identify four traditional craft techniques that are still preserved by the luthier artisans and as a result of the interview it has been possible to establish that the potential of possible experiential tourism within the parish would be very beneficial since there is a high rate of advantages. The conclusion is that there is no informative material that incites experiential tourism within the parish that focuses on the workshops for the creation of handcrafted instruments, therefore the proposal is to create a digital informative guide that shows the richness of the parish and the importance of documenting the knowledge of the luthier artisans for the preservation of this cultural legacy.Item Las manifestaciones culturales y el turismo vivencial en el centro cultural tsáchila Mushily(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Turismo, 2025-01-20) Yancha Andi Joel Marcelo; Viteri Toro Maria Fernanda; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de TurismoThe Mushily tourist center offers an immersive experience through experiential tourism, being cultural manifestations part of the key elements for a tourism that is aware of the importance of safeguarding the tangible and intangible heritage and a harmonious coexistence between tourists and the host community. The research was based on the principles of moral economy, a theory that allows analyzing social phenomena from a focus on the impacts on its main actors; having as objective the analysis of the cultural manifestations that are part of the experience of experiential tourism offered in the Mushily tourist center. With a qualitative approach, the data were collected through direct observation and the approach to members of the community who are related to the tourist activities developed, using instruments that allow recording relevant characteristics; registration log of the Experiential Tourism phenomenon and INPC's heritage registration forms. The results obtained reflect that the offer of this center is based on activities that reflect its identity and at the same time help to safeguard its culture, creating high impact experiences. We conclude by highlighting the importance of generating tourist services aimed at educating tourists, given that cultural manifestations play a fundamental role in experiential experiences and without reaching the folklorization of the culture exposed to the tourist phenomenon.
