Item Reaprendizaje motor para mejorar las funciones cognitivas mediante juegos tradicionales en el adulto mayor(2025-03-11) Pérez López, Bryan Bolívar; Latta Sánchez, María Augusta; Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Centro de PosgradosAging is a latent problem that requires a multidisciplinary intervention due to the adjacent effects that are evident in this natural process, one of them is cognitive impairment, therefore, techniques have been sought to improve, prevent and anticipate the deterioration of cognitive function. Motor learning is a technique that seeks to recover previously learned functions that have been lost due to different factors, such as time or neuromusculoskeletal diseases. By implementing a motor relearning program focused on traditional games (interest and motivation), it will be possible to solve this problem, which is affecting the elderly population that has been growing during the last decade. Objective: To improve cognitive function through a motor relearning program focused on traditional games in older adults Methods: This study has a quantitative approach because we will use instruments such as the MoCA test (cognitive abilities) (1), the Get Up and Go test that allows us to obtain a diagnosis of the gait of older adults, the Tinetti scale that assesses walking skills and balance (3). The study will be conducted in the GAD of Miñarica II with a population of 30 older adults. It is a prospective, longitudinal and intervention study that will analyze motor relearning skills and cognitive function. The results showed that after applying a motor relearning program through traditional games, the older adults improved their cognitive functions, statistically evidenced according to the Wilcoxon signed rank test, obtaining a p-value of less than 0.05 in the MoCa tests.
