Item Ejercicios de Risser para formar el arco plantar en niños de 5-7 años con pies planos(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Centro de Posgrados, 2023-06-28) Pizarro Soza, Shirley Ivana; Cantuña Vallej, Paul FernandoFlat feet are an orthopedic problem that affects the biomechanics of the foot and, as a consequence, the musculoskeletal system. Flat feet are frequently observed in school children, which must be addressed physiotherapy at this age to avoid biomechanical complications in the future. Through this research, we seek to determine the effect of Risser’s exercises to form the plantar arch in children with flat feet. The development project was carried out in a school in the city of Guayaquil where children with different types of feet were identified, the Hernández Corvo method was used for the analysis of the footprint of the children, the children who presented flat feet they were intervened with Risser exercises, the physiotherapy intervention was carried out at school and at home they also performed the exercises indicated by the physiotherapist on behalf of the parents. Favorable results were obtained in the improvement of the longitudinal arch of the foot thanks to the Risser exercises, the post-measurement of the plantar footprint was performed where the decrease in the percentage of flat feet was noted. With this, the favorable effect of exercises to form the plantar arch in children’s flat feet is determined
