Item Evaluación del efecto antifúngico de hidrolatos de Cymbopogon citratus y Cinnamomum verum en el control in vitro de Phytophtora infestan.(2024-02) Camino Santiana, Jenny Patricia; Zurita Vásquez, José HernánOne of the phytosanitary diseases that threatens it is late blight caused by the fungus Phytophtora infestans, due to the resistance to chemical compounds and their indiscriminate use, which is why alternative management methods are being sought to control this fungus. In this study, the antifungal effect of hydrolysates of Cymbopogon citratus, Cinnamomum verum and a combination of both (in equal parts) obtained by vapor entrainment on Phytophtora infestans isolated from Solanum Tuberosum was evaluated in vitro. Results were determined at 3, 7 and 9 days. The poisoned medium technique was used, with three concentrations of each (20%, 30% and 40%). The concentration with the highest inhibitory response was then determined. The quantification of mycelial growth was used to determine the regulatory effect caused by the hydrolate. The results showed that cinnamon (Cymbopogon citratus) hydrolate with its H1C3 treatment showed the lowest mycelial growth of P. infestans fungus at day 9. It is concluded that Cinnamon hydrolate at a concentration of 40% has a very favorable result to inhibit the growth of P. infestans with 84.14% effectiveness, being a good alternative for the control of P. infestans and also to protect the health of the plant and the soil.
