Item Evaluación de bioestimulantes a base de algas marinas (Ascophyllum nodosum), para la inducción de brotes basales en el cultivo de rosa (Rosa sp.) variedad Freedom(2024-08) Arias Astudillo, Natalia Elizabeth; Zurita Vásquez, José HernánThis research work was carried out on the property of Mr. Rafael Arias, in the “Arias Roses” plantation located in the San Vicente neighborhood, belonging to the parish of Mulalillo in the Salcedo canton, Province of Cotopaxi. The objective of the research was to evaluate biostimulants based on seaweed, for the induction of basal shoots in the Freedom variety rose crop, to determine the product and the appropriate dose that responds with the best results regarding the induction of basal shoots, diameter and length. thereof. The study factors used were: Algae Complet (B1) and Seamaxx (B2) at a concentration D1 (2cc/l) and D2 (3cc/l). The experimental design used is completely randomized blocks with a 2x2+1 factorial arrangement, five treatments and three repetitions, four of the treatments were the result of the interaction of two biostimulants (Algae complet and Seamaxx) and two doses (2cc/l, 3cc/l) plus a control (without application of any biostimulant). The study variables were number of basal shoots per plant, diameter of basal shoots and length of basal shoots. Furthermore, in the research work an analysis of variance (ADEVA) was used to determine significant differences between the treatments, the Tukey test and the Kruskal Wallis test at 5% with which the means of the respective treatments were compared. According to the results and the statistical analysis, it was determined that the best treatment was B1D2 based on the application of the biostimulant (Algae Complet) with a dose of 3cc/l, presenting a greater number of basal shoots, which recorded average values of 2 shoots per plant, shoot diameter with an average of 1.05 cm and a shoot length with an average of 37.74 cm.
