Item Efecto de la aplicación de tres productos ecológicos para la prevención de mildiu velloso (Peronospora destructor) en cebolla de bulbo (Allium cepa var. Regal)(2016) Eugenio Torres, Jorge Luís; Cruz Tobar, Saúl EduardoThe need to create new alternatives for the control of pests and diseases in traditional cultures of our country, using agronomic techniques healthier control without causing deterioration of soil, water and the environment in general, reducing pollution for plants, animals and humans, make it necessary to investigate appropriate technologies to enhance this control, hence, onion bulb being a traditional crop and important segment of the agricultural economy is suitable for the development of research. This assessment of the effect of three organic products (potassium phosphate, copper, zinc and iron and cupric hydroxide), applied in three doses at two frequencies, for control of downy mildew (Peronospora destructor) in the cultivation of onion bulb (Allium strain var. Regal) was conducted in the field of Samanga, Canton Ambato, Tungurahua province, at an altitude of 2890 meters. With potassium phosphate application, the best results were obtained by reporting incidence smaller percentage (12.73%) and severity after 90 days of transplantation (20.21%), a result, the fastest growing plants experienced Leaf length (87.37 cm) and, equatorial diameter (6.72 cm) and bulb weight (154.60 g), achieving higher yields (7.59 kg / treatment). Within this product, the high dose (750 ml / 200 l) produced greater control, with the lowest percentage of incidence and severity; Likewise, applying the product with the frequency of every 15 days, the best results were obtained significantly menorando the incidence and severity of the attack. Descriptors: Allium cepa, ecological, downy mildew, potassium phosphate, incidence, severity, cupric hydroxide, agronomic techniques, organic products, frequencies.
