Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2019) Morales Apráez, Jorge Luis; Guevara Robalino, Jorge JavierIn the development of the present investigation, in the first instance tests were performed on the aggregates to form the masonry according to an initial dosage that allowed us to obtain good results at compression based on the INEN 3066 norm. The study addressed, opted for the substitution of the chasqui by 15%, 25% 50% and 75% sawdust, from which it was obtained that the handcrafted blocks have an approximate resistance of 10.96 kg / cm² and that under this parameter the blocks of 15 and 25% comply with the ranges established as original dosage unlike the artisan blocks, while the one with 50 and 75% sawdust is discarded, due to its very low compressive strength. On the other hand, within the present and following the Chilean regulations NCH 849 and NCH 851, a thermal and acoustic test was carried out, obtaining as a result that the block with 75% sawdust has greater thermal insulation capacity unlike the other blocks tested, while the block with 25% dosing of the aggregate has greater acoustic insulation capacity. Within the study addressed, the process carried out for both manufacturing and laboratory tests is clearly indicated, which generated feasible results, framed within the normative statutes for construction. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2019) Paguay Córdova, Edison Andrés; Guevara Robalino, Jorge JavierThe present investigation has been carried out with the purpose of knowing the influence that the blocks of work with the plastic have with the temperature and the acoustic conditioning in the middle of a hermetic chamber; for what was done and a dosage was elaborated applying the Optima Density Method for the elaboration of Type B blocks according to the NTE INEN 3066 standard, which served as the basis to elaborate the other dosages with the addition of 15, 25, 50 and 75% of PET plastic replacing the coarse aggregate (Chasqui) and later elaborated type walls of 1.00 mx 0.70 m. As it increases the percentage addition of PET material, the resistance to compression decreases by 4, 12, 30 and 50%, however it is still superior to the traditional artisan block; On the other hand, the more the PET material is added, the better the thermal and acoustic variation in relation to a traditional block and block wall, indicating that the correct addition of the PET material has a significant influence on the temperature control and sound insulation in the environments of a dwelling by not allowing the passage of heat and noise from one environment to another; being the best specimen resulting from the thermal tests the wall made with block with 50% PET and the block wall with 75% PET for the acoustic test. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2021-06) Ruiz Muñoz, Félix Alejandro; Guevara Robalino, Jorge JavierOne of the areas in which the State makes the greatest investment of economic resources is in the execution of public works; for this reason, these must be carried out efficiently, and subject to current regulations. The general objective of this work was to identify critical areas; that is, of possible errors or shortcomings, which accuse the projects tendered by the Decentralized Autonomous Government of the Province of Bolivar. For the development of this project, an analysis of the pre-contractual processes, contracting and execution of works was carried out, based on the provisions contained in the Organic Law of the Public Procurement System, the Internal Control Rules and the Resolutions issued by SERCOP, in order to demonstrate the effects derived from the non-observance of the aforementioned regulations. Then each of the tenders of the year 2017 were analyzed, errors were identified in them, a report was issued which contained all the details of the shortcomings identified with their respective solutions, with this information we proceeded to tabulate and graph the results obtained. In order to avoid making mistakes in the contracting and execution of works, in application of one of the objectives of the work, recommendations are made on possible corrective measures that could be adopted. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2021-08) Espinosa Vaca, Francisco Alejandro; Guevara Robalino, Jorge JavierFor the elaboration of this project, a detailed and specific survey was carried out for the inhabitants of the area to be studied, choosing primarily MIDUVI type singlefamily houses, the results of which were useful for the development of the rainwater harvesting alternative. The system was designed with several stages such as: the catchment system, which consists of a roof that collects rainwater; a conduction system that directs through rainwater channels with a micro mesh and downspouts all the water collected to the filter, a filtration system consisting of a tank in which was filled with (coarse broken stone, fine broken stone, Zeolite and activated carbon), which materials helped to purify the rainwater, chlorine treatment that disinfected the rainwater so that it can be water for human consumption and finally that this purified water is distributed by a hand pump that connects to the main internal supply system of the house. Everything was designed strictly following different standards and guidelines for rainwater harvesting dictated by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the World Health Organization (WHO), which set the guidelines for the correct design and use of this water resource. In order to determine that treated rainwater can be used for human consumption, this water was analyzed at the EMAPA water quality laboratory and the results were compared with the TULSMA and the INEN 1108 "Water for human consumption"Item Análisis del bagazo de caña como filtro en el tratamiento de aguas residuales provenientes del Camal Municipal de la ciudad del Puyo, provincia de Pastaza(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica. Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2017) Curipallo Quispe, María Belén; Guevara Robalino, Jorge JavierFor the development of the project, as a place of study was chosen a slaughterhouse, where was obtained the wastewater necessary for the verification of the efficiency of the filter during operation. With regard to the experimental design, it has been made a wooden structure of 2m of height, which served as a support for a tank of 208.20 lt where was placed the effluent collected, which through a line of 1 m came to the filter, the filter material was sugar cane bagasse previously washed and dried in the sun. To ensure the continuing operation of the filter flow rate used was of 0,105 lt/min. During the 91 days of the filtration process, were obtained 9 samples of filtered water and 1 sample of unfiltered water. For later analyze parameters of great importance such as: Biochemical Oxygen Demand (DBO5), Chemical Oxygen Demand (DQO) and total suspended solids (SST), to each of the samples. In order to guarantee the reliability of the results, the analyzes were carried out in an accredited laboratory. Once they are obtained and analyzed the results, proceeded to compare them with the values of permissible limits specified in the Unified Text of Secondary Legislation of the Ministry of the Environment (TULSMA). According to the permissible limits only the concentration of SST achieved a decrease below the limit of 130 mg/lt that specified by the standard, while the parameters of DBO5 and DQO in spite of not getting concentrations lower than those specified, 100 mg/l and 200 mg/lt respectively, obtained significant decreases in comparison with the wastewater sample without filter. Based on the results, of the filter recorded greater efficiency to 95% for DBO5 and DQO, and more than 65% for SST. So check the effectiveness of the material to decrease the levels of contamination present in the waste water from a slaughterhouse. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2021-09) Chacón Santos, Víctor Steve; Guevara Robalino, Jorge JavierThis research work was carried out by taking samples of stone materials from the "Brisas del Toachi" and "Copeto" mines using INEN 695 standards, then a sample reduction was made according to INEN 2566, continuing with the investigation of some physical mechanical characteristics indicated in INEN 872 in order to make a dosage for a structural concrete and determine the actual density of cement using INEN 156. The mix design was made for each mine with its respective dosage using the method of optimum densities for concrete compressive strengths of 210 and 240 kilograms over square centimeters. Once the dosages were obtained for each mine, concrete specimens were made for their respective curing using INEN 3124 standard; fresh concrete tests were carried out, such as: sampling INEN 1763; density, air content and yield INEN 1579, settlement INEN 1578; hardened concrete tests were carried out to determine the compressive strength at 3, 7 and 28 days INEN 1573. With this we have access to information that allows us to interpret and graph these values for a better understanding and analysis of them. Finally, the experimental MEE is determined by using the ASTM C469 standard and with this, the use of values for the factors exposed in the ACI 318-14 standard and its correct adaptation according to the use of the materials of the mines studied is proposed. Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2017) Freire Vásconez, Diego Fabián; Guevara Robalino, Jorge JavierFor the execution of this work, we collected information from the Institutional page of SERCOP, through visits to sewage works in the city and through application of surveys to engineers dedicated to the construction of sewage works. The information collected was processed with the intention of searching the cost of the use of safety equipment by workers during the execution of a sewer work, this cost is absorbed by the indirect percentage of a budget, which contributes to that the professionals do not have clear accounts of what they obtain of net profit, to avoid these situations that appear every day of the constructors, we determined a coefficient that when Applied to unit price analyzes, the resulting budget already contemplates these costs for the use of safety equipment, making these values to be added to the direct costs of the budget. Maestría en Ingeniería Civil con Mención en Estructuras Metálicas, 2022-09) Aleaga Del Salto, Luis Alfonso; Guevara Robalino, Jorge JavierEcuador is a country of high seismic danger; therefore, the calculation of structures will always be a challenge for engineers since every day new advances in science and technology emerge, making it possible to predict the behavior of a building in extreme events such as earthquakes; in this work the Ceinci-Lab Computer System has been used, which allowed to perform analysis and design of structures step by step obtaining clear and accurate results. The objective of this research is to compare the seismic response between special moment frames and eccentrically braced frames in a 10-story steel building. A simple and regular structural configuration was used to obtain a better seismic performance of all the components of the system. Subsequently, the seismicresistant analysis of the frames was carried out with the different structural configurations proposed in the Ceinci-Lab computer program, using the linear modal spectral and static equivalent analysis for its resolution and complying with the guidelines established in the Ecuadorian construction standard and international codes; finally, it was determined that the building composed of eccentric diagonals had a better seismic response than the one composed of moment resisting frames, obtaining lower displacements and floor drifts; It was also verified that the demand versus capacity of each system is optimal, thus ensuring a strong column - weak beamxvii behavior; additionally, a nonlinear pushover analysis was performed to determine the real maximum resistance of the structure and the performance of all its components; therefore, it is essential to consider the use of bracing in the structural configuration of medium-rise buildings, especially with short link elements, since they act as energy dissipaters, improving the stiffness and global response of the system in severe earthquakes.
