    Análisis del proceso de almacenamiento de alimento y su incidencia en la homogeneización de la mezcla de balanceado en la empresa avícola Agoyán

    The large House Group company "Poultry Agoyán" are dedicated to the rearing of laying hens, for the production and marketing of eggs for mass consumption, the poor quality of the balanced: texture, composition, mixing non-uniform combination, causes the birds to present different levels of malnutrition, many times they are imperceptible but they result in the quality of the egg and the decline in production of the same. The objective of this study is an analysis of the process of food storage to improve the homogenization of mixture balanced in the poultry enterprise "AGOYÁN", this research is framed as a field type explanatory or causal research. The study population were responsible for feeding the chickens and egg production managers. The redesign of the distribution hopper has a wide acceptance within the applied research tool.

    Análisis y diseño estructural del edificio Mushuc Runa de diez pisos en estructura metálica, mediante comparación del análisis estático lineal, modal, estático no lineal (Pushover), dinámico no-lineal (historia de respuesta), y diseño estructural en concordancia con el AISC 341-16, AISC 358-16, e incidencia en las condiciones actuales de la edificación

    The degree work in question consists of analyzing, through non-linear mathematical models, the seismic vulnerability of a building built in 2018 with structural steel (A572 GR 50) and a height of 9 floors with respect to the road. Likewise, the structural design carried out in 2017 (prior to construction), and compared with international standards, specifically those described in ANSI - AISC 341-16, 358s-16, 360-16, ASCE 41-13, FEMA 440, FEMA 273. The company AyF, Consultoría y Construcción provided all the necessary documents to carry out a correct seismic performance analysis; among the most important: mathematical model of analysis and structural design prepared in 2017, as-built plans prepared at the end of the work in 2018, ultrasound tests on welds, material quality certificates, architectural plans, among others. In this way and with all the documentation available, the expected results were obtained through nonlinear analysis (NSP) and (NDP), comparing maximum displacements, floor drifts, shear forces, formation of plastic hinges, failure, hysteresis diagrams and amount of energy dissipation; in this way, the level of seismic performance and the seismic vulnerabilityxviii of the structure were obtained for a design earthquake of 475 years of return period (earthquake considered due to the type of building) and it is expected that the civil works in question resist the design earthquake and is between the Operational – Functional states. Within the resilience rating with respect to FEMA P-58-1, the category that corresponds to the current system is "GOLD", where 10 percent damage and 4 weeks of occupation time are expected. Likewise, a comparison was made of the design carried out prior to construction (2017), with respect to the analysis carried out in this document; therefore, the dimensioning of cross sections used in the different structural members is justified. It should be noted that practical results have been obtained for the structural analysis specifically to the value related to the coefficient R (coefficient of seismic reduction) and that they can be extrapolated to different scenarios.

    El presente trabajo tiene la finalidad de desarrollar un Sistema de Gestión Integral para la Empresa “CONSTRUCCIONES ULLOA” ubicada en la Ciudad de Latacunga Provincia de Cotopaxi, el cual permitirá dar una ventaja competitiva a nivel de las empresas que realizan la misma actividad. La investigación partió de una serie de análisis en los procesos de fabricación de los auto – tanques, las normas ISO 9001 establecen los requisitos necesarios para alcanzar la satisfacción de los clientes a través de especificaciones definidas, una política de calidad, objetivos que permiten validar con certeza los procedimientos propuestos. Otra de las normas que contiene el presente proyecto es la norma ISO 14001, que tiene la finalidad de minimizar el impacto ambiental que se presenta durante el proceso de producción, otro de los temas en mención es la disminución de los riesgos y enfermedades profesionales que se presentan durante las actividades laborales, por medio de un análisis de riesgos laborales, la evaluación de los mismos es para contrarrestar incidentes y accidentes dentro de la planta, al final las conclusiones y recomendaciones que permiten validar el trabajo propuesto.

    Desarrollo de un plan de mantenimiento preventivo basado en el mantenimiento productivo total para la maquinaria en la línea pintura de la empresa carrocerías Varma de la ciudad de Ambato

    This technical project was developed with the purpose of establishing a preventive maintenance plan, applying the philosophy of total productive maintenance in such a way that it contributes to extending the useful life of the machines and tools present in the painting line. For the development of this project, an inventory was carried out in order to know the coding, quantity and operating status of the machines and tools, later the TPM philosophy was applied in which activities such as the selection of the pilot equipment, application of the "5S" and autonomous maintenance; In addition, the criticality analysis was carried out and with the help of the technical note on prevention NTP 679, a modal analysis of failures and effects was carried out in order to identify possible breakdowns and the criticality of the components, through the maintenance ranges determined the preventive actions for each one of them considering the frequency of action and duration. To complete the project, an annual preventive maintenance plan was carried out in order to facilitate the tasks that were organized so that they are applied for a year considering their frequency and duration respectively.

    Desarrollo de un plan de mantenimiento preventivo basado en la gestión de activos, empleando la norma ISO 55000 para el taller industrial Jackson en la ciudad de Esmeraldas

    This technical project was carried out with the purpose of implementing a preventive maintenance plan for the "Jackson" industrial workshop, based on asset management, as they do not currently have one, and also to guarantee support for the workshop's assets, which is why ISO 55000 was used. In the development, the coding of the machines was carried out in order to identify them quickly and easily; technical data sheets and a study of the current maintenance situation were made, this data was represented in the statistics and analysis of the curve of the machines' bathtub, which indicates the stage the machines are in. Then, a modal analysis of failures and effects (FMEA) was carried out with the parameters established in the technical note NTP 679, where the most critical components to suffer breakdowns and that can cause an unexpected stoppage of the machines were detailed, in order to know the functional failure, the causes of failures and effects; a criticality analysis of the equipment was carried out, in order to determine the most critical components of each machine. Finally, the preventive maintenance plan was developed, using a free technological software "Microsoft Excel", where the maintenance logs of each machine were detailed, the generation of the monthly report and data; it is possible to save and print each of the generated reports, in order to manage in a faster and simpler way.

    Diseño de un sistema para clasificar y contar truchas Arco Iris hasta 33 gramos de peso

    This technical project addresses the problems generated during the process of classification and quantification of rainbow trout, which in the country is done manually and by hand, increasing production time and costs. For the elaboration of this project, bibliographic information was compiled on the development stages of the species, as well as its morphology, allowing the development of a study to obtain relationships between weight - width and weight - length of the fish. During this study, a grading method was developed by means of troughs coupled to a chain transmission system and a water ramp for the humidification of the trout. Infrared sensors with PLC programming were used for quantification, to obtain a continuous process. The result was the design of a semi-automatic grading and quantification system made of AISI 304 L stainless steel in the components in contact with the fish, using polymers in the reduction trays and in the hydration system. The classification system uses chutes whose opening is controlled by regulating verniers obtaining exact values for the minimum and maximum size to be classified. The counting system uses infrared sensors that generate a light sweep that when interrupted by the trout generates a pulse that is processed in the PLC, thus obtaining a continuous process with a capacity of 10000 fish per hour.

    Diseño de una cámara de Sandblasting, para el tratamiento y mantenimiento de tanques bajo normativa ASME en la empresa Induacero CIA. LTDA.

    , This technical project was developed due to the need of having a sandblasting chamber to perform the surface cleaning process of the pressure vessels manufactured by INDUACERO Cia. Ltda. achieving to minimize production times and maintain a contamination free space for the operators. For the respective design of the chamber, physical and mechanical parameters were identified, such as the dimensions of the largest container that should enter the chamber and according to the needs required by the company. As abrasive material was assigned the use of metallic shot for its high efficiency and its capacity of reuse from 700 to 5000 times these abrasive particles are projected at high speed by means of a pressure system against the surface of the container by means of a gun, also was developed a system of recirculation of the abrasive by means of a cyclone type Stairmand of high capacity. The pertinent calculations were made for the design of the chamber with the requested parameters, then an analysis of the results was carried out; finally, the design was made in a finite element software and the plans and the financial study of the project were incorporated, obtaining as a result an efficient chamber in terms of its operation and dimensions required by the company.

    Diseño e implementación de un sistema eléctrico en una bicicleta de tracción trasera, como alternativa de transporte en la ciudad de Ambato

    Due to the high levels of environmental pollution that the world is facing, different renewable energies are being considered. The electric bicycle is a variant of the conventional one, controlled by an electronic system. This technical project focused on the design and implementation of an electric system on a rear-wheel-drive bicycle equipped with an electric motor, which is located in the rear wheel. It does not pollute, emit carbon monoxide or nitrogen oxides, nor does it use fossil fuels; therefore, it does not generate gas emissions and avoids noise pollution. This makes it one of the best options for clean and eco-friendly transportation as an alternative in the city of Ambato. The design has the peculiarity of being powered by a battery, and the electronic controller will be responsible for enabling the activation of the different elements of the electric system, allowing the cyclist to control the motor's power through the throttle located on the handlebar. Finally, the electric system for a rear-wheel-drive bicycle for the city of Ambato was successfully designed, achieving good performance, and conducting field tests in different terrains and weather conditions, which has ensured optimal and efficient operation in the city. As a recommendation, regular maintenance of the different electrical and mechanical components is suggested, ensuring a longer lifespan.

    Diseño y construcción de máquina rotativa de corte longitudinal de planchas de acero galvanizado de 1 mm de espesor en la empresa Carrocerías “IBIMCO S.A.”

    For the execution of the project the shear cutting process was investigated by means of an unconventional system which allows longitudinal cuts of dimensions larger than those established for a standard metal plate, from which different design alternatives were determined. Of these, the circular blade cutting system was selected as the main mechanism, which consists of a combined transmission of chains, catars, pulleys and belts, as well as a power reducer and a three-phase electric engine. The parameters specific to parts and components were designed taking into account the actual conditions on which the machine will work in addition to safety factors recommended by entities such as ASTM-HANDBOOK. Once the design and construction were carried out, the functional tests were carried out where it was verified that with the implementation of the machine clean cuts can be made with minimum tolerances, reducing the 40% of time during the cutting process in relation to the conventional process used in the company.

    For the execution of the technical project investigated the process of potato harvest semi-mechanized, which allows the use of a mechanical system coupled to the tractor to remove the potatoes and the labor conventional to collect the same, this way it determines the different alternatives for the design. Where is the selected implement disk type for harvesting potatoes, which is driven by the pto and engaged by the three points to the tractor, the same consists of a transmission per system Shaft, Disc plow of 26 inch, moldboard and a system of pulleys and bands. The specific parameters of parts and mechanical components, was designed taking into account the real working conditions of the implement and safety factors recommended by the entities such as ASTM-handbook. Completed with the design and construction of the implement is performs the operation tests, where it is noted that the potato harvest is done more quickly and with less number of staff so decreasing the production time by 50% in relation to the process of treaty is currently used in the agricultural fields.

    Diseño y construcción de un deshidratador de maíz mediante radiación solar para los productores del cantón Cevallos

    This project arises from the problems that exist for producers in the Cevallos canton during the corn dehydration process, a process in which they manipulate the corn outdoors, exposing it to the growth of bacteria or possible germination; Therefore, they require the dehydration process for conservation, consumption and seed. In the province of Tungurahua there is a global average of solar insolation that was used as an energy resource, a corn dehydrator was designed and built, information was taken that allowed determining the parameters for the design, using the INEN 2050:95 standard; The CONELEC solar map and the INHAMI meteorological station revealed the amount of global irradiation and the peak solar time; The selection of materials was carried out based on efficiency, budget and operating conditions, presenting the tunnel-type dehydrator. Using simulation and design software, the behavior of the components that are part of the heat transfer was presented. From the dimensions obtained, the dehydrator was built, with a capacity of 10 kg considering that the humidity must be reduced to 14 percent for 3.45 days. As a result, an operation and maintenance manual was created, providing added value to the production, storage and transportation chain of corn according to the level of impurities and humidity that govern the quality and price of the product in its future commercialization.

    The purpose of this project is to design and build a machine capable of moving vertically, quickly and safely materials used in the company “Alvarado Construcciones”. In order to achieve the objectives of this project a study of elevators and cranes that can serve as a base to meet the target was performed. Accepting the fact that the elevator should be removable and convenient cost. An analysis of alternatives was made to determine the best design option, setting up the necessary technical parameters for achieve the requirements of the company, and with this analysis we proceeded to design all the elements of the elevator. Certain safety parameters were established to operate the machine as well as preventive measures for future maintenance. Finally, the building process used in the elevator is detailed.

    The need for a hammer mill arises as farmers seek to optimize and expedite the production process, aiming to increase productivity capacity. The problem lies in the lack of agricultural machinery adapted to the needs of each farmer and the type of forage to be processed. The development began with the identification of parameters for design, such as material type, production capacity, motor power, and other necessary technical specifications. With the help of calculations, components such as hammers, belts, and the grinding chamber were selected and designed. Subsequently, a finite element analysis was conducted using software to evaluate the main parts of the mill, aiming to achieve a design that meets the farmer's expectations while maintaining efficiency and durability. Ultimately, the hammer mill was successfully manufactured and properly designed to specifically address the needs of the crushing process. The machine demonstrated optimal performance, achieving effective and uniform grinding of the forage. As a result, the mill's durability is backed by the choice of materials and the design process. In other words, both the design and construction of the hammer mill concluded with a positive outcome that met the performance and durability requirements, thus satisfying the demands established by the farmer.

    The present technical project is based on the mechanical design and construction of a fruit pulping machine under the parameters established as production processes, capacity, cutting force, thickness of the seeds, fruit density and ergonomics. The pulping machine has a hopper designed to withstand the pressure of the higher density fruit and the weight of the boxes at the time of depositing the fruit inside. The machine has a cutting system designed to cut passion fruit; This fruit needs greater cutting force at the time of pulping. The pulper has a set of sieves designed for each thickness of the seeds. In the performance tests, the capacity of 500 kilograms per hour was verified, fulfilling the capacity of the machine, the elements of the machine are constructed in austenitic stainless steel AISI 304.

    Diseño y construcción de una máquina lavadora de naranjilla de 55 kg de capacidad para la asociación de naranjilla y frutales amazónicos Murialdo

    In the present technological proposal, the design and construction of a naranjilla washing machine was carried out for the farmer sector, which aims to remove soil, insects and other foreign elements, in an efficient and safe way, the machine has the ability to clean 55 Kg / h. In the bibliographic study carried out on the cleaning of the naranjilla, it was found that it was done manually in the company Murialdo of the province of Pastaza, due to this, an investigation of the morphology of the naranjilla was carried out in order to implement a type of mechanical cleaning . For an optimal mechanical design, the design methodology was taken: analysis, synthesis, simulation, evaluation and decision. The best alternative for its construction was selected. The mechanical and electrical elements of the machine were designed with basic engineering principles, and then validated with simulation software such as Solidworks. Tests were carried out on the surface quality of the naranjilla, verifying that no morphological change occurs in its physical properties, the machine's performance is more than 55kgs / h depending on the size of the Naranjilla, it is built in stainless steel complying with the norm for the processing of food, being the quality naranjilla and optimal for commercialization and consumption.

    Diseño y construcción de una máquina tendedora de tela para la microempresa textil “GRUPO K&L

    The present technical project focuses on the design, construction and performance testing of a technology tensioning machine for the K & L Group microenterprise. The purpose of this machine is to optimize the process of spreading material on a cutting table, reducing the time of labor. In contrast, at present this process is carried out by two workers in a rudimentary way. The machine consists of two subsets of very important mechanical elements such as the cutting table where the spreading is carried out for subsequent tracing of the mold and cutting into aligned blocks. Additionally, there is a mobile cart in charge of supporting the weight of a fabric roll which is moving longitudinally over the table. A structural study was carried out on the mechanical elements by F.E.M. in the ANSYS ACADEMIC software, where displacement forces and restrictions were applied. Favorable results were observed, such as the maximum deformations according to the Von Mises fault theory, which did not significantly affect the structure. For the construction of the machine, resistant materials such as structural steel A-36 are used. In addition, an easy adhesion base was applied to the entire metal structure thus, avoiding corrosion. Lastly, two layers of white paint were admistered for a better presentation.

    Diseño y construcción de una secadora de arenas para la producción de morteros en la hormigonera Hormicen

    The technical Project is based on the design and construction of a dryer of sands for the production of mortars in the cement mixer HORMICEN, to ensure the design of the dryer was carried out research on the different elements of machine, such as: burners, types of industrial dryers, as well as fuel types, composition of sand, aggregates and mortars, types of mortars, among other fundamental aspects for the implementation of the project. Next is to take all the specifications given by the concrete mixer including the sizing, the load capacity, production volumen, operating time, ease of handling, maintenance, among others. This was a grain size analysis of sand through technical specifications [10] and compared to standards suitable for this purpose (ASTM C33), the importance of the rudimentary process automation to increase the volume of production [1]. The importance of the creation of an industrial dryer is already used in different materials for sand as in our case, the most important is the removal of moisture from the material in partially low percentages. The drying of the sand for the production of dry mortar lies in that sand is exposed to environmental conditions in which moisture is directly involved with the material, the moisture makes the final result by previous processes result whit a setting of a prematurely, causing so the product does not serve for the construction. Once all the aspects of design and analysis was carried out the construction of all the constituent elements of the dryer. Whit the tests to check the operation of the machine was obtained the expected results and the satisfaction of the company.

    The experimental work is about the study of the application process of monolayer powder electrostatic coating, in the smooth surface of the wheelbarrow components of the I.M.ESCO company and it was compared with the same process but in rough surface. The coating used is of hybrid epoxy-polyester type, in scarlet red color and the smooth surface preparation is carried out by means of a chemical wash with deoxidizer, while in order to obtain a rough surface, it was complemented with a cleaning by means of sand blasting using mineral grit, based on the code SSPCSP10. Regarding the detection of the holidays, a micro-hole detector equipment was used that was used directly on the surface of the wheelbarrow components. It was determined that the most suitable electrostatic painting process to achieve a high level of surface quality of the dry film of paint in the wheelbarrow is achieved by preparing the surface with a chemical wash with phosphatizing deoxidizer and abrasive sand blasting with mineral shot, with a curing mechanism convertible by melting in a drying oven for 10 minutes.

    Estudio de los factores técnicos que afectan el correcto funcionamiento del camión recolector de desechos modelo CCL 120, para disminuir los daños frecuentes en la estructura del sistema compactador

    En el presente trabajo de investigación sé determinó los factores que afectan al adecuado funcionamiento del camión recolector de desechos modelo CCL 120, cuando se someten a la carga de trabajo diaria, verificando la utilización del acero utilizado en la construcción del compactador mediante un análisis microestructural, posterior efectuando un análisis de esfuerzos combinados mediante las ecuaciones del método ASD usando diferentes aceros estructurales y variando el área de la sección transversal de las mismas, datos que sirvieron para realizar un análisis estadístico inferencial para determinar la influencia que puede tener la fuerza de trabajo sobre las bases de la estructura del compactador. De igual manera se determinó los valores correspondientes a la deformación de las bases inferiores de la estructura, debidos a la carga de trabajo de la prensa bajo la acción de los cilindros óleo-hidráulicos, fundamentos que sirvieron para realizar un nuevo análisis del material, diseño y dimensiones utilizados en la construcción de las bases inferiores de la estructura del compactador, proporcionando una mejor influencia de la fuerza de trabajo aplicada sobre las estructura.
