Abstract
This research, entitled “Relationship between Shoulder Rotation Speed and Handgrip Strength in Amateur Ecuavóley Performance,” aimed to determine the relationship between these two variables in amateur players from the Once de Noviembre parish in the city of Latacunga. The study employed a quantitative approach with a nonexperimental, cross-sectional, descriptive, and correlational design. The sample consisted of 30 amateur Ecuavóley players, selected by convenience sampling. These participants were evaluated under natural conditions. Shoulder rotation speed was measured using Kinovea software, while handgrip strength was assessed using the Jamar dynamometer, recognized for its validity and reliability in physiotherapy. The collected data were statistically processed to analyze the potential correlation between the two variables..The results showed no correlation, and it is recommended that training programs be promoted that integrate the development of overall upper limb strength.
