| dc.description | Business Intelligence refers to the set of tools used for the process of extracting, transforming and loading data (ETL) into informed decision making within organizations. This research aims to explain the use of Business Intelligence in the area of investments in a Savings and Credit Cooperative in the city of Ambato. The problem identified corresponds to the limited use of Business Intelligence in this area. That is, less informed decisions, reduced performance of investment portfolios and poor risk management. The methodical procedure in the research was based on theoretical methods: historical-logical, inductive-deductive, analysis-synthesis and modeling, with a quantitative approach and a descriptive type of research, with the purpose of obtaining relevant data. The research modality was bibliographic, documentary and field research. The technique and instrument applied was the interview and the interview guide to 7 collaborators of the investment area of the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito, being this a finite population. Finally, the key result of the project was identified, the proposal for the design of interactive control panels for the investment area, which answer the following questions: ¿How many policies are about to expire at the Head Office Branch? ¿What is the number of days remaining until the policies expire in the different branches? ¿What is the area that generates the most revenue in terms of policies? ¿What are the top ten investors in the different branches? These questions allow us to obtain clear and quick information that the case study raises. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | La Inteligencia de Negocios hace referencia al conjunto de herramientas utilizadas para el proceso de extraer, trasformar y la carga de datos (ETL) en la toma de decisiones informadas dentro de las organizaciones. Esta investigación pretende explicar el uso de la Inteligencia de Negocios en el área de inversiones en una Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito en la ciudad de Ambato. La problemática identificada corresponde al limitado uso de la Inteligencia de Negocios en dicha área. Es decir, decisiones menos fundamentadas, un rendimiento reducido de las carteras de inversiones y una gestión de riesgos deficientes. El procedimiento metódico en la investigación, se utilizó métodos teóricos: históricos - lógicos, inductivos – deductivos, análisis-síntesis y modelado, con un enfoque cuantitativo y un tipo de investigación descriptiva, con el propósito de obtener datos relevantes. La modalidad de investigación bibliográfica documental y de campo. La técnica e instrumento que se aplicó fue la entrevista y la guía de entrevista a 7 colaboradores del área de inversiones de la Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito siendo esta una población finita. Para finalizar, se identificó el resultado clave del proyecto, la propuesta del diseño de tableros de control interactivos para el área de inversiones los cuales responden las siguientes interrogantes:¿En la Sucursal la Matriz cuantas pólizas están por vencer?,¿Cuál es la cantidad de días que faltan para que venzan las pólizas en las diferentes sucursales?, ¿Cuál es la zona que genera mayores ingresos respecto a pólizas?,¿Cuáles son los diez mejores inversionistas de las diferentes sucursales?.
