This academic article is dedicated to examining and compiling the state of the art regarding the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in human talent recruitment and selection processes. Through a comprehensive theoretical review, it analyzes how machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, and predictive analytics are transforming traditional screening and personnel management practices in contemporary organizations. This research arises from the need to understand the impact, efficiency, and ethical challenges posed by automation in candidate assessment. The rapid adoption of technological tools demands an analytical framework to identify whether these solutions optimize hiring times and mitigate human cognitive biases, or conversely, replicate and amplify historical discrimination due to the nature of training data. The literature review evidences that Artificial Intelligence significantly increases operational efficiency and the massive filtering of profiles during the initial stages of recruitment. However, there is a strong methodological and ethical concern within the scientific community regarding the opacity of algorithms ("black boxes") and the urgent need to establish governance frameworks that guarantee fairness and transparency in hiring decisions. It is concluded that AI is a high-value strategic complementary tool, but not a substitute for human judgment. The study proposes the development of a hybrid selection model (Human-in-the-loop) that combines algorithmic optimization with human ethical oversight, ensuring organizational processes that are fairer, more predictive, and aligned with corporate social responsibility.
