Abstract

This project addresses the development and implementation of a wireless control system designed to reduce estimated energy consumption by minimizing unnecessary operating time of the air conditioning units located on the rooftop of the FISEI Innovation and Technological Development workshop building. The proposal arises from the need to improve the operational management of equipment startup and shutdown, reduce operating times, and avoid unnecessary personnel travel to the operating area. The system integrates environmental variable monitoring, data reading, and wireless communication between a transmitter node, a receiver node, and client nodes responsible for activating relay modules associated with each air conditioning unit. Its implementation utilized Heltec LoRa 32 V3 boards, a web-based monitoring and control interface, and a complementary power supply architecture for the receiver node, consisting of a solar panel, a charging module, and a rechargeable lithium battery. The research was conducted using an applied, bibliographic-documentary, and experimental methodology, allowing for the collection of technical information on environmental monitoring, digital state reading, and wireless communication in real-world operating environments. Subsequently, a functional prototype was designed and implemented, validating the proposed solution. The project contributes to the field of Electronics, Telecommunications, and Control Systems by proposing a low-cost, long-range, and scalable wireless technological solution. Furthermore, it represents a viable technical contribution to optimizing the operational management of air conditioning equipment switching on and off.
