Resumen : The purpose of this investigative work is to identify geological zones with high seismic risk. Currently in the seismic zones of the country there are highly vulnerable structures, since they have been built without following the specifications of earthquake-resistant design standards or following standards that are often obsolete. In the field data collection stage, 5 soil analyzes were performed, using the standard penetration test (SPT). Proceeding with these data to calculate the wave speed. In addition, 5 faults, 1 subduction fault and 4 crustal faults, close to the study area, were analyzed. Applying the Wells-Coppersmith methodology, the Moment Magnitude Mw was determined. These data were used in the ground motion prediction equations, Akkar and Bommer (2010), Boore and Atkinson (2008), Kanno (2006), Youngs (1997) and Zhao (2006), obtaining acceleration spectra, which were used in the analysis of 3 sector structures using the ETABS software. The greatest moment obtained is present in the Totoras fault, giving us a value of Mw= 6.55. From the structures analyzed, it was determined that they do not have sufficient structural configuration to withstand significant seismic stresses.
