La enseñanza en entorno virtual y las funciones ejecutivas en estudiantes de 12 a 14 años de la Unidad Educativa “La Salle”, del cantón Ambato

Abstract
Las funciones ejecutivas contemplan una serie de destrezas que se comprometen a
la antelación y propuesta de tareas precisas, con una planificación en cuanto al
diseño, análisis y monitoreo del ambiente y otras circunstancias; de esta forma
influye la conducta del cuerpo, la autorregulación y otras funciones mentales para
obtener una acción precisa. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar
la incidencia del proceso de enseñanza en entorno virtual sobre las funciones
ejecutivas en estudiantes de 12 a 14 años. Para evaluar las variables se reconoció
la problemática presente en las estrategias que se aplicaron en la modalidad de
educación virtual por condiciones de pandemia a través de una encuesta dirigida a
docentes de la Unidad Educativa “La Salle” y a través de la aplicación de las
pruebas de Memoria de Trabajo: Dígitos (en orden directo, inverso y creciente) y
Span de Dibujos de la Escala de Inteligencia de Wechsler para niños-V (WISC-V),
obteniendo resultados numéricos sobre una población de 30 estudiantes. La
puntuación individual se obtuvo a través de la suma de sus puntuaciones escalares
y su baremación de acuerdo a la edad cronológica. Los resultados obtenidos
demuestran un nivel de significancia mayor a 0,05 entre la prueba de Orden Directo
(O.D) frente a diferentes áreas que forman parte de la Escala WISC-V y la Encuesta
de Enseñanza Virtual, por esta razón es necesario tomar en cuenta diferentes
elementos que tuvieron influencia en el nivel de fiabilidad de los puntajes.
Description
The executive functions contemplate a series of skills that are committed to the
anticipation and proposal of precise tasks, with planning regarding the design,
analysis and monitoring of the environment and other circumstances; in this way it
influences the behavior of the body, self-regulation and other mental functions to
obtain a precise action. The present research aims to analyze the incidence of the
teaching process in a virtual environment on executive functions in students aged
12 to 14 years. To evaluate the variables, the problems present in the strategies that
were applied in the virtual education modality due to pandemic conditions were
recognized through a survey directed to teachers of the "La Salle" Educational Unit
and through the application of tests of Working Memory: Digits (in direct, inverse
and increasing order) and Span of Drawings of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for
children-V (WISC-V), obtaining numerical results on a population of 30 students.
The individual score was obtained through the sum of their scalar scores and their
scale according to chronological age. The results obtained show a level of
significance greater than 0.05 between the Direct Order (OD) test compared to
different areas that are part of the WISC-V Scale and the Virtual Teaching Survey,
for this reason it is necessary to take into account different elements that influenced
the level of reliability of the scores.
