Dinámica familiar y autoestima en hijos de diversidad sexual
(2024-08) Sozoranga Karolys, Mayhuri Nayeli; Paredes Ruiz, Teresa de Jesús
Sexual diversity encompasses a wide range of sexual identities and orientations, reflecting experiences that go beyond heterosexuality and traditional gender roles. Therefore, promoting respect, tolerance, and inclusion toward sexual diversity is essential for building an equitable society where human rights are fulfilled. This also allows us to create public policies in favor of the LGBTIQ+ community to minimize high levels of homophobia, exclusion, discrimination, murders, and suicides among this vulnerable population due to their sexual orientation. The main objective of this research project is to determine the influence of family dynamics and self-esteem in children of sexual diversity. The study is descriptive and correlational. The findings were obtained through a purely quantitative approach using the survey technique. We attached the instruments previously validated in Latin American contexts adapted to the Spanish language, which measures the variables of analysis for the independent variable - the Rosenberg scale was used and the dependent variable. The questionnaires were applied to 50 people of sexual diversity belonging to the LGBTIQ+ community "COALICIÓN LGBTIQ+ COTOPAXI UN MUNDO DIVERSO" led by Carlos Alberto Sandoval Castro. The research results show a significant influence of family dynamics and self-esteem on children of sexual diversity, revealing that a healthy and supportive family environment is associated with high self-esteem levels. Therefore, it is essential to continue proposing awareness-raising alternatives to mitigate social problems that affect people in the LGBTIQ+ community

(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2023-09) Espín Laverde, Marjorie Liliana; Balseca Basantes, Jeanneth Elizabeth
Throughout the life cycle, the family goes through various stages and transitions that shape its dynamics and structure. One of these stages is the empty nest, this occurs when a son leave home to seek their independence and establish themselves, leaving the parents to face a new reality: living alone again. The objective of the study was to determine the family dynamics that occurs in the empty nest stage of the parent teachers of the "Belisario Quevedo" Educational Unit in the city of Pujilí, it worked with 30 teachers who are going through this situation. The research has a qualitative approach, an interview guide of 21 questions was designed, distributed in 4 dimensions (crisis, family adaptability, individuation, affective unity), with 10 indicators (reaction, mourning, detachment, structure, roles, habits, reunion in the couple, sense of identity, life project and social support), it was validated through the review of three experts and for its analysis a semantic network was elaborated that allowed to identify the most significant aspects that characterize this stage and thus determine the new dynamics. In the research process, it was possible to identify two events in this transition, called "partially empty nest" when some children have left home, and the "complete empty nest", when all the children have left. Among the most relevant results, it was found that family dynamics change mainly in roles, structure, communication, affective relationships, authority, and in the sense of identity and autonomy. With the information collected, several intervention strategies are proposed from Social Work to help parents in coping with this stage, focused on guidance and education, strengthening the filial and marital relationship, promoting support networks, and developing skills and personal projects.

(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2021-10) Quevedo Moreira, Michelle Elizabeth; Chiliquinga Véjar, Lorena del Carmen
ABSTRACT: The investigation of descriptive and correlational type, with a population of 171 students, aims to determine the relationship between vamping and the family dynamics of adolescents of the "Francisco Flor" Educational Unit. Mobile devices have come to revolutionize society, especially the youngest, due to the various purposes they have, however, excessive use at night time generates drastic changes in daily activities, to the point of neglecting important aspects such as sleep, family and social relationships, academic performance and basic needs. For the execution of the research, a methodology with a quantitative approach was used, three previously validated questionnaires were used, for the independent variable the "Mobile Phone Dependence Test" was merged, consisting of the dimensions of abstinence, lack of control and derived problems and tolerance and interference with other activities with the "Oviedo Sleep Questionnaire", composed of subjective sleep satisfaction, insomnia and hypersomnia, and for the dependent variable, the "Family Functioning Perception Questionnaire" was used with the dimensions of adaptability, roles, affectivity, permeability, communication, harmony and cohesion. In the process of hypothesis testing, a positive correlation was demonstrated that determines that vamping has an impact on the family dynamics of adolescents, which reflected that a considerable number of students practice this technological phenomenon. In addition, cell phone dependence and sleep quality are factors that are related to family type, where problems are accentuated in severely dysfunctional families, and are reduced as household functionality improves.
