(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Derecho, 2026-01-27) Quinatoa Chicaiza, Dayana Estefania; Tite, Segundo Ramiro
In recent years, Ecuador has experienced a series of problems relating to the forced recruitment and participation of children as a criminal instrument which constitutes a social and legal problem, it involves issues such as institutional weakening and certain structural factors that would drive children and youth to delinquency, The main objective of this research was to determine the incidence of forced participation by children in the commission of crimes and their characterization. The methodology chosen was a qualitative approach, based on document review and data collection through interviews with a specific group. Among the results obtained, it was possible to identify that there are no standardized mechanisms as such that can demonstrate that children and young people are forcibly linked to criminal groups since the main problem is institutional weakening at the time of prevention and to protect minors, in addition to the fact that there are certain social factors such as poverty, lack of education and family breakdown which would make children and adolescents an easy target for criminal organizations, It is concluded that it is necessary to implement effective public policies that can meet the needs of society and prevent more children and young people from becoming involved in organized crime

In recent years, Ecuador has experienced a security crisis marked by increased violence perpetrated by organized crime against the judicial system, which has weakened institutional trust and generated direct risks for prosecutors and judges. The main objective of this research was to analyze technological protection that strengthens the work of justice officials without compromising procedural guarantees. The methodology applied was a qualitative approach with analytical and prospective components, supported by a documentary review, an analysis of recent cases, and a comparative evaluation of judicial protection systems in other countries in the region. The results revealed a strong technological asymmetry between the State and criminal organizations, as well as a lack of effective inter-institutional protocols to prevent attacks and threats. Based on this diagnosis, an analysis was developed based on a literature review on the relevance of anonymization through the use of artificial intelligence for so-called faceless judges, adapted to the conditions of the Ecuadorian context. It is concluded that the implementation of this model can not only guarantee the safety of prosecutors and judges, but also contribute to strengthening the rule of law and consolidating citizen confidence in the administration of justice

This research aims to understand how the principles of good governance really influence public procurement in Ecuador. Instead of just looking at laws, it goes deeper to see how these ideas are put into practice in real institutions. The study uses interviews with public officials who work directly in procurement, so we can get a clear picture of what’s really happening. The main focus was to review the current legal framework and court decisions about good governance principles. We also explored the different types of procurement processes and how well these principles are respected or overlooked during those processes. What stands out from the results is that, yes, the laws are mostly well designed and include these important principles, but in everyday work there are still many challenges. For example, officials sometimes lack proper training, there are delays caused by bureaucracy, and the processes can be slow. However, we also saw that institutions are trying to improve transparency and efficiency, showing a growing awareness of the importance of ethical and responsible public management. Ultimately, the research shows that having good laws is only part of the solution. For procurement to truly work well and protect public resources, institutions need to commit sincerely to these principles, have credible control mechanisms, and invest in ongoing training for their staff. With these pieces in place, public procurement can be more effective, transparent, and fair.

This research work, titled "“LA VIOLENCIA DE GÉNERO EN EL ACCESO Y PERMANENCIA DE MUJERES EN CARGOS POLÍTICOS EN ECUADOR”," has the general objective of evaluating the impact of gender-based violence on the access and permanence of women in political positions in Ecuador. This study is framed in a context where structural inequalities persist despite normative advances toward gender equality. The research is justified by the need to shed light on how various forms of political, psychological, symbolic, and verbal violence limit women's access to positions of power, as well as their permanence and full leadership within those spaces.A qualitative methodology with a legal-social approach was employed, using historical-legal, analytical-synthetic, hermeneutic, narrative, correlational, bibliographic, and field methods. This included normative and documentary analysis, along with interviews conducted with women leaders, who identified patterns of normalized violence and a deficient institutional framework. The findings reveal that, although the legal framework recognizes political gender-based violence, its implementation remains ineffective. Protection measures lack promptness, follow-up, and a gender-sensitive approach. This is further exacerbated by conflicts of interest, legal loopholes in the Código de la Democracia (Democracy Code), and a lack of institutional autonomy. As a result, many women are faced with the dilemma of resisting or stepping down. The study concludes that, while legal progress has been made in terms of formal representation, structural barriers in society continue to hinder full and equitable participation. Gender-based violence remains a strategy of exclusion that violates rights, undermines leadership, and obstructs the consolidation of an inclusive democracy in Ecuador.

The study focuses on analyzing the narrative of Ecuadorian children's literature in relation to individualism, aiming to describe how this theme is approached in the selected works. An exhaustive bibliographic search was conducted to establish analysis parameters, and detailed matrices were defined to break down relevant narrative elements. The results revealed a coherent representation of individuality in the selected books, where it was found that the structure and narrative elements contribute effectively to conveying this concept. However, some difficulties in understanding the moral were identified by children in certain stories, suggesting the importance of selecting books that promote this theme in an accessible manner for their audience. In summary, this study highlights the significance of children's literature as a tool for addressing topics such as individualism and promoting ethical values among young readers

The twentieth century has been characterized by the revolution in technology, with this change is achieved to link and interconnect the world generating advances in communication, new virtual platforms and the emergence of social networks changes the ways in which human beings relate, opinions and comments. Among the research question posed for this thesis is the following: What influence does the content on corruption during the COVID-19 pandemic, issued by media leaders and influencers of public opinion, have on public opinion? Is there greater credibility and monitoring of the characters when negative and attacking comments are issued? Mass communication in the digital era and with social networks reaches broad audiences with direct messages because characters like the ones in this research are the influencers and media opinion leaders achieve a legitimization of opinions, so that they get followers and thus give strength to these characters to continue to issue opinions in this case about corruption in Ecuador, Noelle Neuman (2010) in The Spiral of Silence states that "He can agree with the dominant point of view, which reinforces his self-confidence and allows him to express himself without reticence and without the risk of being isolated from those who hold different points of view" (p. 201) Self-communication in these social networks in this case Twitter has become a nest of true and false opinions given by public media characters and social actors (influencers). They use collective indignation such as cases of corruption and messages with negative content, in order to position themselves in the digital medium as social actors of opinion, according to Castells (2011). It is self-communication because one generates the message oneself, defines the possible receptors and selects the specific messages or contents of the web and electronic communication networks that one wants to recover. For the development of the analysis, we proposed to work with a content analysis, emphasizing the first 10 comments of each Twitter about corruption in the accounts of @TinnocoTannia and @PedritoExtranja. We then set out to execute a quantitative approach to obtain greater proximity to the questions posed, using the SPSS program and executing the cross tables for comparison between the characters analyzed. The research has four chapters that are divided into: theoretical framework, methodology, analysis and discussion of results to close with conclusions and recommendations.

Traditional Ecuadorian music is full of cultural richness. This allows us to look back in time and identify events of socio-cultural identity expressions that are reflected in the era where elements of acculturalization in music and transcendental changes are combined by the entrance to the Internet. The objective is to identify if the diffusion of the Ecuadorian traditional music affects the musical historical memory of the young people; which; in addition we resorted to the techniques of Interview in indirect form by means of the platform of zoom / Wassap and Messenger which was handled this way since we were in sanitary emergency by the world-wide pandemic Sars-Covid-19; that's why it was done virtually and the surveys that were done physically to young students coming to the conclusion that Ecuadorian music is one of the most beautiful in the world; since its rhythms are unique played with instruments of nature in many of the rhythms of all our regions: and its lyrics are the experiences of the performers, stories of our mother earth, the pain of a people who suffer poverty, the discrimination of the oppression of those in power, the romanticism of those in love; which have been lost in the musical memory of our youth by the introduction of the reggaeton and other musical rhythms that have been positioned in the psyche of young people; This is due to the fact that both the corresponding governmental entities have not given the necessary importance for the youth to enjoy our musical roots and spread it in a natural way without the obligation of someone or something, but to have the self-esteem for who we are through the traditional music and give it the necessary importance. It is clear that due to the lack of incentive young people are losing that taste for spreading traditional music, even though they are still curious about it and knowing who we are culturally and through music; but there is still no one who is really interested in not losing this musical identity with young people.
