The study recognizes this agreement as an international legal instrument with economic, productive, and labor effects, particularly for sectors connected to foreign trade, local production, and employment. The methodology followed a mixed, legal-social, documentary, and field-based approach. Surveys were applied to 100 participants from business, legal, academic, and citizen sectors, along with interviews conducted with specialized legal professionals. The results show a critical assessment of the agreement’s effects: 50% of respondents consider that employment opportunities have decreased, 63% believe that the agreement harms SMEs, and 77% state that the arrival of foreign products negatively affects local work. Nevertheless, the study also identifies opportunities related to innovation, productive diversification, market access, and business growth. A total of 86% of participants believe that companies require greater innovation to remain competitive, while 60% consider that the agreement contributes to offering new products or services. The research concludes that the Free Trade Agreement between Ecuador and China does not, by itself, create formal, decent, and sustainable employment in SMEs in Ambato. Its positive impact depends on public policies related to financing, training, innovation, trade defense, labor formalization, and technical support. Therefore, trade liberalization must be coordinated with labor protection and the strengthening of the local productive sector.Item Gestión de estrategias de comunicación en microempresas de la ciudad de Ambato: caso Almacén Agrícola La Mano Amiga(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudenca y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Comunicaciòn, 2025-08-01) Pantoja Pérez, Diego Fernando; Ortega Arcos, Wagner EnriqueThis research analyzes the management of communication strategies in microenterprises in the city of Ambato, focusing on the case of Almacén Agricola La Mano Amiga. The technique used was framed in observation because it allowed a general analysis of the type of information disseminated in the newspapers under study, as well as a brief exploration of the number of publications with cultural content published in the year 2021 in August and September. The main results showed that El Comercio publishes more cultural information than El Heraldo newspaper, since, in the first newspaper, 15% is destined to cultural content and in the second, only 9% of the news is for culture-related topics. However, in both cases, the percentage of the area established for cultural content within the newspaper is very small compared to the opinion, classifieds, hobbies and curiosities sections. In addition to this, in both newspapers, cultural content is mostly focused on the Literature subsection, with 50% in El Comercio and 48% in El Heraldo. Likewise, the subsections with the least preference in the analyzed newspapers are: music, history, cinema, museums and civic dates.
