Motivaciones y riesgos del sexting en estudiantes universitarios

The development of ICTs modifies the interaction of people in the sexual sphere. The phenomenon of sexting consists of the exchange of sexual material through instant messaging tools or social networks, within a relationship that is not necessarily affective. This practice is an element of sexual expression and communication that has been normalized with the rise of digital environments, but that carries risks such as non-consensual dissemination of content to third parties, cyberbullying, grooming, extortion. For this reason, in the present work it is proposed to analyze the motivations and risks that the practice of this phenomenon entails, as well as its normalization within the sentimental scope of a couple or casual. The methodology used is quantitative, with data collection through an online questionnaire. The survey is based on the previously validated SBS (Sexting Behavior Scales). During the investigation it is identified that the term "sexting" is not known by the entire population studied, but they are aware of the elements that make it up. It is also highlighted that all the respondents have ever practiced sexting, either actively or passively.
