The family life cycle is a computer concept, which attempts to explain the sequential evolution of families and the transitional crises they undergo as a function of the growth and development of their members. Crises in the family appear when the family life cycle is interrupted and unexpectedly occur in family life, which disharmonizes the structure, being a sign that the family faces difficulties to overcome a stage of the life cycle. The dysfunctional life cycle of students of the Social Work Career significantly affects the process of healthy family development, which determines that the university community has complications in their relationship and in the fulfillment of responsibilities. The present study bases its research on the incidence of life cycle risk factors in the student welfare of students of the Social Work of the Technical University of Ambato through qualitative and quantitative methods aided by statistical procedures whose results can be obtain valid conclusions for the search of solutions. The analysis was carried out based on surveys carried out both for students and faculty of the Faculty in order to corroborate the relationship between the study variables.
