    El uso de la red social facebook y el núcleo familia en la Parroquia Benítez del Cantón Pelileo

    In Ecuador there are 6 million people who have a smart phone and 600 million people use their phone to access social networks, in homes 20.1% have wireless internet, although the 53.5%, the group of The age that most uses the Internet is from 16 to 24 years old, 64.9%, while 28.2% use it as an information channel in different social networks. The present research sought the use of the social network Facebook in the family nucleus of the inhabitants of the Benítez parish of the Pelileo canton. For this, an investigative process of a quantitative nature was carried out, of an exploratory, descriptive and correlational nature, taking as a study population the inhabitants that currently reside in the parish of Benítez, to which a survey was applied aimed at obtaining opinions to the variables under study. The main results of the study were that 56.31% of people always spend more time in the social network Facebook compared to the time they share in a family, equivalent to 183 people, 39.69% of them he almost always spends more time in this social network compared to the time he sees his family representing 129 people, while the remaining 4% never invests the most time compared to the hours invested in his family. Which equals 13 people. These results are the ones that less people use the social network Facebook mostly of those who are close to their family for work or study reasons, reaching an agreement that this social red has negative effects on the behavior of people. Therefore, based on the results, the creation of a Family accompaniment center for the population of Benítez Parish was proposed as an alternative solution.
