    La innovación tecnológica en la agricultura tradicional y la protección al derecho al trabajo

    The right to work is a fundamental human right that must be fully fulfilled in order to guarantee every worker the right to a dignified life. Therefore, in Ecuador, all forms of provision or exercise of an economic or productive activity that allow them to have an income for their livelihood are constitutionally recognized. It is important that, even more so as we are experiencing the rise of the technological era compared to traditional labor, there is a perceived risk due to technological innovation in traditional agricultural work. Therefore, the research's main objective is to demonstrate how the application of technological innovation in traditional agriculture would guarantee the protection of the right to work in the province of Cotopaxi. To this end, an explanatory study is applied, supported by a qualitative-quantitative methodology, combining a bibliographic review, as well as surveys of agricultural workers and interviews with various professionals. This line of research focuses on public policy, law, and society. The research focuses on labor and environmental law, and public policies that promote the responsible use of agricultural machinery, ensuring the protection of the right to work. The final result demonstrates that the application of technological innovation in agricultural work has affected workers' labor and therefore jeopardizes the protection of the right to work, especially for subordinates or dependents. The conclusion is that the Ecuadorian State should establish public policies that effectively guarantee this fundamental right, namely, the right to work.
