    La programación televisiva de Unimax Televisión y la prevención de violencia de género

    The main purpose of this research is to examine the programming of UNIMAX television as an agent of mass communication and potential facilitator of civic literacy, focusing on how it addresses issues related to gender perspective, gender-based violence and the position linked to communication. In addition, it seeks to evaluate the audiovisual production, whether it effectively contributes to gender equality, recognising gender as an integral part of human development and its inclusion in fundamental human rights. It is based on the proposition that television tends to repeatedly reproduce sexist stereotypes and gender violence, derived from the social construction of gender, which undermines respect for gender diversity. In terms of methodology, a qualitative approach is adopted through a documentary bibliographic research modality, complemented by data collection through surveys. The content analysis reveals that UNIMAX television programming lacks programmes that address issues of gender-based violence.
