Item type:Ítem, Anomias Jurídicas de la Inteligencia Artificial y el derecho a la educación inclusiva en el Cantón Píllaro(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Derecho, 2026-07-09) ;Guachi Espín, Jean PierreVargas Salazar, GavinoThis research addresses the LEGAL ANOMALIES OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND THE RIGHT TO INCLUSIVE EDUCATION IN THE CANTON OF PÍLLARO, focusing on an analysis of the impact of the lack of regulation of AI on the education of people with disabilities, based on the existing practices in the canton of Píllaro, on the understanding that, as a priority group, they merit specialized attention. This is correlated with the direct impact that AI has had on the academic sphere, which may entail risks regarding its mode of use—it can serve, on the one hand, as an educational tool adaptable to special needs, and on the other, as an instrument harmful to academic development. The research adopted a qualitative approach, which allowed for a systematic interpretation and study of the repercussions and barriers posed by the legal ambiguities of artificial intelligence. The primary method was the interview, which was directed toward gathering information from the institutional authority of the specialized education service in Píllaro, teachers specializing in educational innovation, and legal professionals in the constitutional field. The findings indicate that, although education laws promote the use of technology, in the Píllaro canton, tools related to artificial intelligence remain underutilized due to social, legal, economic, and technological barriers. For this reason, this study highlights the need for specific legislation on AI and for an update to Ecuador’s current regulatory framework.Item type:Ítem, Los derechos de los contrayentes y la permanencia en el vínculo matrimonial con un cónyuge que adquirió discapacidad(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Juriprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Derecho, 2025-08-01) ;Gualpa Llango, Clara JanethPoaquiza, PatricioThe rights of spouses within marriage are significant in Ecuadorian law, particularly when one of the spouses acquires a permanent disability. This research analyzes Article 126 of the Civil Code, which restricts the dissolution of the marriage bond when one of the spouses acquires a disability. This restriction is controversial in relation to the constitutional rights of freedom, access to justice, free development of personality, dignified life, and equality recognized in the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador. This research aims to propose a reform that would harmonize national and international standards. The objective of the research focuses on the analysis of the constitutional rights involved in the marriage bond when one of the spouses has a permanent disability. To achieve this objective, marriage in the face of disability, the legal tools for the protection of persons with disabilities in the marital sphere, and the relationship between constitutional rights and the purposes of marriage were defined. The methodology to be applied is qualitative, involving interviews and document review. The line of research is public policy, law, and society. Thus, it is concluded that forced permanence within marriage violates constitutional rights and requires legal reform that includes specific mechanisms to guarantee the rights of persons with disabilities within the family sphere through the implementation of special judicial procedures with an inclusive and egalitarian approach. Keywords:Item type:Ítem, Estrategias de afrontamiento de las familias con integrantes con discapacidad(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2025-07-31) ;Morales Toapanta, Mónica XimenaCampoverde Quijano, Egda MaribelThe social, economic, and cultural dynamics of families with members with disabilities have shaped caregivers' ability to structure strategies for coping with this condition. This is due to the limited institutional presence, the family's economic situation, and the strong community cohesion, which builds a new lifestyle in the face of the challenges they face with disabilities. The research aims to analyze the coping strategies of families with members with disabilities in the San José de Huambaló Foundation. The study is exploratory, descriptive, and explanatory. It uses a quantitative methodology based on the development of a questionnaire comprised of six dimensions: family restructuring, support from friends and family, spiritual support, formal support, support from neighbors, and passive evaluation. Data collection was carried out through fieldwork, in which 50 families in the San José de Huambaló Foundation were surveyed. The conclusions were determined: the informal support network is the immediate family, and the formal support network is comprised of healthcare professionals and even a religious leader for guidance. Furthermore, the families have developed problem-solvin g skills and good emotional intelligence management skills to address the challenges they face daily. The following recommendations are suggested: recognition for families or cities that support individuals with disabilities, support activities with religious institutions, integration activities, and the collection of family socioeconomic information.Item type:Ítem, Experiencias de vida de mujeres con discapacidad(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2025-07-30) ;Yanzapanta Salán, Katherin LissetteTorres Carillo, Silvia SusanaThe discrimination against women with disabilities is a reality in society, and it includes gender discrimination, making them vulnerable in the educational and judicial systems and limiting their opportunities for economic independence. Social inequalities shape the environment of women with disabilities, in a society that, it requires them to perform traditional domestic activities and, on the other, it discriminates against them based on their condition and gender. Although the state has created norms that guarantee equality for people with disabilities and for women, but in practice, processes and staff members in public institutions discriminate against women with disabilities are still evident. Non-profit institutions, such as foundations, have provided support in health, education, social work, and psychological support services. The research determines the life experiences of women with disabilities in the Huambaló Parish. The study is exploratory and descriptive. A qualitative methodology was used to conduct the research, based on the development of a self-authored questionnaire comprised of seven dimensions: educational system, judicial system, social inequalities, cultural ideas, discrimination, professional assistance, and disability. Data collection was carried out through fieldwork, in which 15 women with disabilities from the Huambaló Parish were interviewed. Recommendations presented based on the research include: a comprehensive support program, priority care, the implementation of indicators to reduce discrimination, and integration activities between women with disabilities and their close family members.Item type:Ítem, Discapacidad y la inserción laboral de los graduados de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2025-07-30) ;Cisneros Villegas, Wilson JavierParedes Ruiz, Teresa de JesúsThe objective of this research was to analyze the influence of disability on the labor insertion of graduates of the Technical University of Ambato. The labor inclusion of people with disabilities continues to be a challenge in Ecuador, and particularly in the university context, where many graduates face structural barriers that limit their full access to the world of work. This research was developed under a quantitative approach and used as an instrument a questionnaire of 25 questions, applied to a population of 25 graduates with disabilities. The analysis covered sociodemographic variables and key dimensions such as policy, learning management, professional competencies, communication competencies, and labor supply. The results reflect that 80% of the respondents are at medium or low levels of labor insertion (8% Low and 72% Medium), which shows a still limited integration process. Although a critical level 18 not observed, the predominance of the medium level suggests that labor insertion 1s under construction and conditioned by multiple factors. During the discussion, barriers were identified such as the poor preparation of the business environment, the absence of effective integration programs and the disconnect between the inclusive legal framework and its practical application. Finally, it 1s concluded that disability significantly influences the labor insertion of UTA graduates. This 1s confirmed through the perception of the respondents and a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.746, which indicates a strong relationship between both variables.Item type:Ítem, Empoderamiento de personas con discapacidad en Areas Deportivas(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2025-02-21) ;Espinoza Villalva, Lenin LeandroCampoverde Quijano, Egda MaribelThe empowerment of people with disabilities in the field of sports is essential for their full integration into society and their physical and emotional well-being. This research focuses on analyzing the level of empowerment of athletes with disabilities in the Paralympic Committee of Ecuador - Tungurahua, identifying the barriers they face and the factors that influence their participation in sports activities. The general objective is to analyze the level of empowerment of people with disabilities in sports areas, in order to identify the conditions and factors that favor or limit their inclusion in this context. Methodology, this research adopted a mixed approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods to provide a broader understanding of the phenomenon. Simultaneous sampling was used, integrating probabilistic and nonprobabilistic methods to collect and analyze data in a comprehensive manner. The study is descriptive and the analytical-synthetic method was used. The study population consisted of 24 athletes from the Paralympic Committee of Ecuador - Tungurahua (14 men and 10 women), and the data were obtained from the official list maintained by the Secretariat. The results show that the empowerment of athletes with disabilities is closely related to accessibility to sports facilities, the support received by the family, society and institutions. Despite advances in inclusion, significant barriers persist, such as lack of accessible infrastructure, low awareness among coaches and peers, and emotional difficulties such as low self-esteem. This affects the full integration of people with disabilities in sport. The research concludes that there are several barriers that limit the empowerment of people with disabilities in sports, such as accessibility difficulties, lack of adapted categories and emotional barriers. In addition, sociodemographic factors such as age, gender and type of disability influence sporting needs and preferences. It is essential to develop policies, inclusive sports programs, ensure a supportive family and social environment, improve available resources to facilitate the active participation of people with disabilities, promoting their empowerment and overall well-being.Item type:Ítem, Análisis comparativo: Estilos de crianza en familias con hijos en condición de discapacidad(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2024-08) ;Mena Quilligana, Stephanie PamelaCampoverde Quijano, Egda MaribelThis research carries out a comparative analysis of parenting styles in families with children with disabilities, highlighting the differences and similarities of two families from the Pelileo canton. This study was carried out using a qualitative approach through case studies, the instrument implemented for collecting information was an interview guide, which consists of 28 items focused on the research indicators, prepared by the author and validated by three experts on the subject. The study revealed the intense and painful emotions that these families went through when they learned about their children's disability. In particular, the mothers faced feelings of guilt, managing to overcome them with support from the networks. Furthermore, they highlight discipline as an essential role of parents; these families critically evaluate themselves and recognize their failures in this area. It can be noted that both families show unequal dynamics according to parental consent, the passivity of the parents can respond to the emotional need of a child with disabilities, which has caused inequality in discipline and family conflicts. The study highlights the importance of establishing clear and firm rules and limits to induce good behavior in your children. The differences in the parenting styles of these families reflect variations in personalities, roles, beliefs, and discipline strategies. The parents of both families are noted for their loving nature, mutual collaboration, and teamwork as a family. However, in the families investigated, weaknesses were identified that generate imbalance in the family dynamic, such as indiscipline and inadequate and deficient communication. Due to this, confusion is generated in the establishment of rules and limits, behavioral problems and conflicts. They fail to dissolve properly, which leads to long-term tensionsItem type:Ítem, Obligaciones Tributarias de las personas con Discapacidad y el Deporte Paralímpico(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Derecho, 2024-02) ;Barrionuevo Lara, Paola EstefaníaVayas Castro, Guillermo SantiagoThe investigation is acording to the Ecuador Republic Constitution; it promotes the rules that protect the citizens´ rights according to the principle of equality. However, constitutional guarantees aren´t according to the national reality, despite the fact that several strategies have been implemented to provide better opportunities for disabled people, the goal has not been achieved, and there isn´t compliance with public policies that safeguard the rights of disabled people. Promoting knowledge and practice of Paralympic Sport are an advancement opportunity for people with different abilities. This will give them access to a better quality of life. Removing barriers and creating possibilities are very important and essential items. The tax facilities, a project promoted by the Sport Ministry, the Internal Revenue Service (SRI) and companies that search the private investment for sport, is a strategy of great impact for Paralympic or Olympic athletes. However, this action doesn´t have the necessary help and the lack of information about this, has that there aren´t more companies that support this sports project, showing that the contribution of taxes to Paralympic sport is almost nil. This affects rights equality; especially of these people, without complying with a correct distribution of national wealth.Item type:Ítem, Inclusión familiar de estudiantes universitarios con discapacidad(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2023-09) ;Escobar López, Lizbeth EstefaníaTorres Carrillo, Silvia SusanaPrejudices and stigmas that generate discrimination towards people with disabilities still prevail in society, being prone to experience unfavorable socioeconomic outcomes and a low level of employment, giving way to the limitation of their opportunities. "SOCIAL AND INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS IN OLDER ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES". Technical University of Ambato. Ambato, Ecuador. The objective of this research work was to determine the influence of social and interpersonal relationships in adults with disabilities. It was carried out under a Mixed Approach, with Exploratory, Descriptive and Correlational Research levels, Analytical and Inductive Methods and by Field and bibliographic place. The survey was used as a data collection technique, for which a 50-item test distributed in 6 dimensions (social and interpersonal relationships) and a 10-item questionnaire (informative data on disability) were designed and implemented, which were carried out with 35 partners (15 M and 20 F). It was determined that Social and Interpersonal Relationships play a fundamental role in the life of all people, older adults with disabilities have a deficit in most social skills especially in those related to advanced skills, social skills to be able to integrate or participate, even in skills related to feelings to relate to others. Therefore, the absence of information and knowledge on the part of public and private institutions, regarding compliance with the ROL, in establishing the respective discount, is represented by 60%. In the same line, it is significant that 31% do not create cultural programs to strengthen their sense of belonging to the group, and it is also supported by 40% that people with disabilities have suffered some kind of discrimination. Finally, a comparative table was made, where it was found that the obstacles that older adults with disabilities have to face in their daily life, where the valuation and anticipated judgments based on tradition and stereotypes, cause a superficial estimation of people that only leads to discrimination and exclusion of them.
