Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Tecnologías de la Información.The objective of this project was to develop a Progressive Web App (PWA) for inventory management at Eliza Bio Natural, a company located in the city of Ambato. The project arose from limitations identified in the current process, where the tracking of incoming and outgoing goods, adjustments, and stock verification was primarily carried out through manual records, physical spreadsheets, and direct checks on shelves. This situation led to discrepancies between physical and recorded stock, delays in customer service, difficulty accessing up-to-date information, and a lack of traceability in inventory movements. For the analysis, interviews were conducted with administrative and sales staff, and an observation checklist was used, which helped identify the system’s functional and non-functional requirements. Subsequently, PWA technology was researched, and appropriate tools were selected for developing the proposal, taking into account accessibility, cross-platform compatibility, responsive design, security, and maintainability. The application was developed using the Scrumban methodology, with work organized into iterations. The system includes modules for authentication, users and roles, categories, suppliers, products, inventory movements, alerts, dashboards, reports, auditing, and PWA deployment. The result is a technological solution that enables the recording of inventory movements, updating of stock levels, quick retrieval of information, and enhanced inventory control within the company.Item type:Ítem, Desarrollo de un sistema web para automatizar los procesos de gestión de inventarios en la Dirección Nacional de Investigación Técnico Científica Policial(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Data compilation and report generation are impacted by the reliance on these manual procedures, leading to delays, information loss, disorganization, and inaccuracies. To address this issue, an inventory management system was developed and implemented to optimize the execution time of these manual processes and reduce human error associated with non-automated workflows. This solution improves operational performance and streamlines process completion times. The development followed an agile methodology known as Extreme Programming (XP). The technologies used include React and Node.js within a hexagonal architecture to ensure system scalability and maintainability, MySQL as the database, and TypeScript as the programming language. Requirements were gathered following the IEEE 830 standard. The implementation of this system reduced the completion time of key processes such as inventory management, reporting, supply location, and information tracking. The average time reduction achieved through the system was 73.8%, significantly alleviating the operational workload of warehouse staff at the National Directorate of Technical-Scientific Police Investigation. The system is designed for scalability and maintainability based on user needs.Item type:Ítem, Sistema de gestión para el control y manejo de inventario en la empresa ferretera Frevi de la ciudad de Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, 2025-02) ;López Yamberla Kevin JosuéRosero Mantilla César AníbalInventory management is a key factor for the success of hardware businesses, especially those operating with a wide variety of products. This study proposes the implementation of an inventory management model based on the perpetual inventory system, aiming to optimize stock control, reduce operational costs, and improve efficiency in internal processes. To diagnose the initial situation, an IPISI analysis was conducted, identifying critical areas related to storage and organization. Additionally, tools such as the 5S methodology were applied to improve warehouse organization, and standardized alphanumeric coding patterns were developed to facilitate product identification using barcodes. The expected results include more accurate inventory control, reduced product search times, and improved strategic decision-making. This approach aims to provide a practical and replicable framework that allows small and medium-sized hardware businesses to enhance their competitiveness in the marketItem type:Ítem, Estudio de tiempos y métodos para la optimización de los procesos productivos y la gestión de inventario en la empresa de suelas de zapatillas “BRPLAST”.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, 2024-08) ;Nuñez Santamaria, Kevin AlexanderOrtiz Sailema, Christian IsmaelThe present study focuses on optimising production processes and inventory management at BRPlast, a company dedicated to manufacturing ultraboost sports soles made from expanded PVC and TPU. The central problem identified is the lack of process optimisation and poor coordination between areas, which affects the operational efficiency and competitiveness of the company. The project's objective is to diagnose the current situation, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements to reduce production times. The methodology used combines direct observation, interviews, and document analysis, supported by tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and AutoCAD, along with real-time data capture devices. Multifactor productivity is evaluated, and industrial process characterisation matrices are used to identify areas for improvement. The results highlight the efficient structure of the production lines, with semi-automatic processes that minimise delays and an ergonomic layout that avoids bottlenecks. The inventory analysis reveals that single-colour expanded PVC soles are the best-selling product, classified as class A in the ABC inventory control method. Differentiated reorder points are established to ensure the timely availability of raw materials. Finally, the importance of continuing to improve operational efficiency and strategic inventory management is highlighted to maintain and strengthen BRPlast's competitiveness in the sports soles market.
