The existing system for managing community service practices at the Technical University of Ambato presented limitations resulting from the manual execution of processes, the dispersion of information, and the lack of clear mechanisms for monitoring each stage. These conditions caused delays and reduced efficiency in institutional administration. To address these needs, a web application was developed to automate the procedures associated with the Planning, Execution, and Evaluation phases of community service practices projects. The development was carried out using the Scrumban methodology, which made it possible to manage requirements incrementally and apply continuous adjustments during the system’s construction. The implemented solution incorporates functionalities for registering projects, monitoring activities and hours, managing approvals, and generating institutional reports, providing a centralized structure that strengthens the organization and traceability of the process. As part of the validation process, the application was evaluated by staff from the Directorate of Engagement with Society (DIVISO) and faculty coordinators using the System Usability Scale (SUS), obtaining an average score of 74/100, which places it within the level of good usability. This result confirms that the tool aligns with the needs user and complies with the functional requirements established by the institution, as evidences in the tests conducted at DIVISO, where its correct operation and its contribution to optimizing the management processes of community service practices were verified.

Healthcare systems require effective management of medical supplies, as this ensures availability, minimizes waste, and improves care times. In the field of veterinary medicine, this management is even more necessary due to the variety of supplies to be managed and the need to control stock and expiration dates. At the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the Technical University of Ambato (HDV-UTA), supplies were managed manually. This led to inconsistencies in records, the risk of supplies expiring, a lack of traceability in records, and time spent recording and controlling supplies. In response to this situation, a technological tool was implemented that reduces operation times and improves the accuracy of the data managed. In this project, a web application was developed to digitize and automate the management of veterinary medical supplies. This project was carried out using the hybrid agile methodology of Scrum and Extreme Programming (XP) to enable continuous validation with staff. The system was developed in Blazor WebAssembly and ASP.NET Core 9 with SQL Server 2022 as the database management system. The solution integrated modules for recording supplies and batches, managing incoming and outgoing movements, real-time alerts, reports, and dashboards. Its implementation reduced the time required to enter and control supplies; the process took an average of 180 minutes and now takes a maximum of 5 minutes.
