Item Evaluación de la actividad antifúngica in vitro de los aceites esenciales de limón (Citrus limon (L.) Osbeck) y cedrón (Aloysia citradora P.) sobre Cladosporium fulvum Cooke.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias. Carrera de Agronomía, 2026-01) Abrajan Tasinchana, Karina Elizabeth; Leiva Mora, MichelTomato cultivation (Solanum lycopersicum) is one of the most economically important vegetables at the agricultural level. The present study aimed to evaluate the antifungal activity on Cladosporium fulvum Cooke (gray leaf mold) in different concentrations of microencapsulated essential oils (MEOs) of lemon (C. limon) and lemon verbena (A. citradora). The assay was performed using agar dilution with 7 treatments: T1: 15%, T2: 10%, T3: 5%, T4: 2.5%, T5: 1.25%, T6: 0.625%, and T7: 0.3125%, as well as controls C1: PDA + fungus, C2: PDA + fungicide + fungus, C3: PDA + polymers, and C4: PDA + AE (2.5%) not microencapsulated. A microdilution was also performed with 8 treatments from T1 (20%) to T8 (0.3125%), with controls C1: PDB + inoculum, C2: PDB + polymers, and C3: PDB + fungicide. Completely randomized design (CRD) was used with the Shapiro-Wilk test for normality, one-way ANOVA, and Tukey's test for mean separation (p < 0.05). It was demonstrated that the lemon verbena AEM showed greater antifungal efficiency at 21 days with an MCI of 2.5% against C. fulvum in the first method, while in the second method the fungicide obtained greater absorbance followed by T1 (20%) and T2 (15%) of the lemon AEM while the lemon verbena obtained greater absorbance in T2 (15%) and T3 (10%), this due to the reaction of the AEM with the Alamarblue.
