Exposure to noise is an occupational risk factor that can affect workers in the field of industry permanently, considering this as an irreversible long-term health problem. The main objective of this technical project is to technically manage control measures to mitigate these conditions caused by work noise. To develop the methodology, an engineering method described in the International Standard NTE INEN-ISO 9612-2014 was used, where the respective samples were taken for each homogeneous exposure group of the Mega Santa Cruz bodybuilding company, applying the strategy based on function, with the limits established within Executive Decree 2393, where a personal sound exposure meter configured according to the requirements permitted in Ecuador was used. As a result, the analysis and final evaluations gave rise to proposing control measures both at the source, in the environment, and at the worker, according to the previously calculated risk level, where the areas with the highest noise index were indicated in a diagram. technical; These results delved into the workers who exceeded the established limits, in this case 85 dB, leading these proposals to be implemented immediately to avoid any hearing loss problem; and, for a level less than 85 dB (both medium and low), the proposals made will count as a preventive measure since they do not exceed the established limit.

In this technical project, the methodology for Environmental and Occupational noise testing was developed and validated, the development and validation corresponds to a verification of the test method of Annex 5 of Ministerial Agreement 097-A, NTE INEN-ISO 1996-1 and 2 -2014 for Environmental noise; Art 55 of Executive Decree 2393, NTE INEN-ISO 9612-2014 for occupational noise, which allows evaluating the specific noise with impulsive characteristics and with energy content at low frequencies and the Level of exposure at work respectively. For this purpose, real measurements were performed. For the assurance and validity of the method two levels were used with a class I sound level meter, it was configured in the required parameters for both Environmental and Occupational noise: A-weighted sound pressure level (slow and impulsive), Cweighted sound pressure level (slow), total noise was measured using the Leq 15s methodology with the fixed noise sources on and residual noise with the fixed noise sources off and for Occupational Noise the task-based strategy was used. For both methods, the overall performance of the methodology was evaluated and accepted in a working range of 20 dB to 140 dB, since it was demonstrated that the acceptance criteria met the established validation parameters: CVr and CVI precision measurement less than or equal to 5 percent, veracity in uncertainty less than or equal to 10 percent of the minimum measurement taken by the sound level meter and dynamic uncertainty.

For this project, the used PCE 322A sonometer, where measurement strategy justified is according the provisions of the technical note noise prevention NTP270, the end of evaluation was determined the existence the noise exposure in the company Fortaleza Cia Ltda and work areas with exposure noise are painting and refile and for vibration the used BALMAC 230 vibrometer where measurement strategy justified is according the provisions of the NTP 839 where the objective is the inform the fundamentals and the method for evaluating the risk arising from exposure to vibration. Later is determined the equivalent level daily the worker exposed, for this step was necessary to know the working conditions, this information is important for determine the implanted the sonometer or the dosimeter, because the technical notes NTP noise 950 and 951 establish noise measurement strategies for each of the instruments. As a result of vibration it was determined that the job of polishing the risk value is 2.28 which corresponds to the risk of harmfulness to the hand system - arm and whole body system the risk value is 0.72 which corresponds to risk mean discomfort. And for the job of refile the risk value it is 0.89 which corresponds to an assessment of means discomfort for vibration hand - arm and whole body system the risk value is 0.42 which corresponds to risk with half discomfort.
