Item Diseño y construcción de una cortadora de cilindros de hormigón para el laboratorio de la Carrera de Ingeniería Civil de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica., 2025-02) Jacome Guerrero, José Joaquin; Peña Jordán, Francisco JavierThis technical project deals with the design and construction of a concrete cylinder cutting machine for the laboratory of the Civil Engineering Department of the Technical University of Ambato. This project was carried out taking into account the lack of a machine that is static in the first instance because cutting with manual machines presents a high risk of accidents. This equipment is designed as static in order to reduce accidents associated with the use of manual tools and to improve cutting accuracy, a crucial factor for quality testing of concrete specimens. The development of this project was based on previous research, ergonomic analysis, technical standards as well as ASTM C39 for design and functionality verification, among these are main features such as perpendicularity and flatness, highlighting the use of diamond disc of special diameter for cutting cores of 16 cm, 3Hp low speed electric motor and a robust structure of ASTM A36 steel with an anticorrosive coating, prioritizing the ergonomic design of the table ensuring user comfort at the time of use. It included the selection of materials, CAD software assisted design and performance simulations in terms of stresses and behaviors of critical elements, as well as welding joints to ensure a better result at the time of construction, functionality and efficiency improving the quality of cutting and optimization in the time of this, minimizing the risk of students.Item Metodología de ensayo de laboratorio de la Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica para la medición de ruido ambiental y laboral(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2022-09) Ortiz Peñafiel, Luis Alberto; Pilapanta Lasso, Darwin Bladimir; Castro Miniguano, Christian ByronIn this technical project, the methodology for Environmental and Occupational noise testing was developed and validated, the development and validation corresponds to a verification of the test method of Annex 5 of Ministerial Agreement 097-A, NTE INEN-ISO 1996-1 and 2 -2014 for Environmental noise; Art 55 of Executive Decree 2393, NTE INEN-ISO 9612-2014 for occupational noise, which allows evaluating the specific noise with impulsive characteristics and with energy content at low frequencies and the Level of exposure at work respectively. For this purpose, real measurements were performed. For the assurance and validity of the method two levels were used with a class I sound level meter, it was configured in the required parameters for both Environmental and Occupational noise: A-weighted sound pressure level (slow and impulsive), Cweighted sound pressure level (slow), total noise was measured using the Leq 15s methodology with the fixed noise sources on and residual noise with the fixed noise sources off and for Occupational Noise the task-based strategy was used. For both methods, the overall performance of the methodology was evaluated and accepted in a working range of 20 dB to 140 dB, since it was demonstrated that the acceptance criteria met the established validation parameters: CVr and CVI precision measurement less than or equal to 5 percent, veracity in uncertainty less than or equal to 10 percent of the minimum measurement taken by the sound level meter and dynamic uncertainty.
