Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2025-02) Pallo Vinueza, Gerson Asdrubal; Castro Solorzano, Fidel AlbertoThe supply of drinking water is of vital importance to all inhabitants worldwide, so the supply must be efficient and adequate, but currently the existing distribution system in the Jaloa el Rosario community does not provide the adequate service that users need, since the distribution system has fulfilled its useful life, therefore, the proposal to improve the drinking water system was made. It began with the delimitation of the study area that was facilitated by the president of the Jaloa el Rosario community, to later carry out a topographic survey with a drone, a survey was also carried out where the population registry was updated, through the survey carried out the quality of the service was also known and to know if the pressure of the water with which it reaches their homes is adequate, on the other hand, through field visits each of the components of the existing drinking water system was evaluated, through the evaluation it was determined that the system has many deficiencies since visible leaks could be seen in the pipes. Through the use of a pressure gauge, a hydraulic evaluation was carried out, where the existing pressures were measured. Finally, a proposal for improvement of the SDAP was developed, so that community users have a safe and efficient service, where the design period is 25 years, with a future population of 735 inhabitants. On the other hand, the design proposal was also modeled through an engineering program, modeling the system in a static and dynamic state. After the design proposal was made, a reference budget was developed for an amount of $135,167.90 US dollars, with its respective schedule where it is presented that for the construction of the design proposal it will be developed in a time of 5 months. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2024-08) Calvopiña Tenorio, Cristian Andrés; Peñafiel Valla, Lourdes GabrielaCurrently, the SDAP of the town is nearing the end of its 30 years design period. This has caused the system to present deficiencies and deterioration, causing overpressure and leaks, compromising the quality, quantity and continuity of the water supply. In addition, population growth and expansion have generated a deficient distribution of the network. Therefore, a proposal was developed to guarantee efficient use of the resource by improving and optimizing the system. This began with a comprehensive evaluation of the network, technically analyzing its physical condition by recording technical and hydraulic data sheets using a pressure gauge to measure pressure efficiency. The population register was updated by means of surveys to diagnose overcrowding, socioeconomic and sanitary conditions. Subsequently, a topographic survey was carried out using the photogrammetry technique. After data collection, the infrastructure was modeled and the system was analyzed using simulation software under static and dynamic conditions. The critical scenario of maximum hourly consumption was considered and the characteristic consumption pattern of the area was determined. The results indicated the need for a complete redesign. The improvement proposal contains the diagnosis of the current deficiencies, design of a system to meet future needs for the 30 years period, implementation of water quality improvements, optimization of the hydraulic parameters of the network, and cost-effective solutions. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2024-01) Guashpa Lema, Danny Miguel; Paredes Beltrán, Bolívar EduardoDue to the need of the inhabitants to have a drinking water supply system, important to improve the quality of life, the necessary studies are carried out for the correct supply of the vital liquid throughout the sector. The design of the proposal for a drinking water distribution system was carried out and the evaluation of the existing network was carried out, current information was collected from the areas involved, such as: population, topographic survey, survey of the current network, approximate pipe diameters. , distribution flow and dimension of the existing storage tank, in order to determine its current situation, where the new flow determined through the respective calculations will travel, including a storage tank that can fulfill the projected requirements, complying with the current rules and regulations. The drinking water distribution network and the storage tank were designed for a period of 30 years. The evaluated network has sections of galvanized iron pipe, segments with PVC pipe and branches with black hose. The new network is designed entirely of PVC pipes of different diameters with a total of 7,032 kilometers, which were modeled and calculated by specialized software. The projected flow to supply the population corresponds to 3.67 lt/sec. and as products, plans of the distribution system, the storage tank, reference budget, unit price analysis, technical specifications and an estimated work schedule were generated. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2022-09) Chacha Jumbo, Ronald Fabricio; Chuncha Simbaña, Víctor Efraín; Núñez Aldás, Galo WilfridoThis technical project is aimed at solving the problems of functioning and operation of the JAAPNSE conduction network, with this work is intended to ensure a constant water conduction service that improves the quality of life of users. To this purpose, we proceeded to evaluate the existing conduction system by applying a qualitative approach through observation cards that allowed recording the state of the conduction network components, as well as a quantitative approach mainly oriented to simulate the current network through hydraulic modeling software to obtain values of pressures, velocities and contrast them with the current Ecuadorian regulations; the evaluation allowed identifying the real operating conditions of the system. With this, the conduction network was redesigned based on the current operating problems, as well as a new design period, considering the parameters and recommendations established in the standards CPE INEN 5 PARTE 9-1:1992, CPE INEN 5 PARTE 9-2:1997 and the NORMAS DE DISEÑO DE SISTEMAS DE AGUA POTABLE – EMAAP-Q. As a result, a technical proposal was elaborated consisting of plans, calculation memory, reference budget, price analysis and technical specifications, these documents guarantee the correct construction process and functionality of the system that would benefit a total of 3646 people, with a horizon to the year 2052.Item Modelación hidráulica para la determinación de la eficiencia de los sumideros tipo T45 modificado con barrotes circulares de aguas lluvias(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2020) Bustamante Matehu, Milton Armando; Maldonado Narvaez, Lenin RafaelIn this project, the main objective is to determine the most efficient collection scenario within the city roads, a different geometry was used than the one used in the regulations of Ecuador respecting the parameters that it imposes. The use of T45 sinks with circular bars is established in compliance with the country's standards, which were modeled on a 1: 4 scale in carbon fiber, located on an acrylic platform that simulates a half way, and alternating the number of these; On the platform we present two scenarios, the first one at ground level and the second one located at 1.75 centimeters above the road, as it is at a 1: 4 scale. Data collection was carried out in the laboratory of the Faculty of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, this model presents dynamic, geometric and kinematic similarity. Thirty-six combinations of longitudinal slope and transverse slope are established, and eight combinations of analysis based on previous research. Having as longitudinal slopes two and four percent and as cross slopes 0.5 percent, 4 and 8 percent. Outstanding geometry and determine the hydraulic efficiency; the results found establish that the elevation scenarios increase or decrease the efficiency according to the combination of the slope where they are located, the most efficient elevation being the one that presents four sinks with 0.5 percent longitudinal slope and 4 percent transverse slope with an efficiency of 91 percent. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2020) Robalino Lara, Mariela Monserrath; Maldonado Narvaez, Lenin RafaelThe main objective of this project is to determine the efficiency of storm drain inlets located on urban roads – our proposed curb inlets were designed with an alternate geometry to the conventional models and complying with the parameters established in current regulations of Ecuador. The experimental platform of the curb inlet frames symbolizes a half way at 1: 4 scale representing the geometric, kinematic and dynamic similarity of the hydraulic model. The model was built at the Laboratory of Hydraulics of the Faculty of Civil and Mechanical Engineering using acrylic as the main material. Several scenarios of curb inlets with longitudinal bars distributed in different positions were studied. Additionally, different rain water flows were considered by combining the longitudinal slope of 2-4 percent and the transverse slope of 0.5-4-8-12 percent. The experimental study was developed in two phases; Phase I includes the location of the curb inlets with a 0.00 level, reaching the maximum efficiency of 84 percent with four curb inlets with a longitudinal and transverse slope of 0.5 and (2-4) respectively. Phase II examines the curb drains with a level + 1.75cm above the level of the road, obtaining the highest efficiency of 75 percent with four curb inlets (drains), combining the longitudinal and transverse slope of 12 and 2 percent respectively.
