Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2017-07) Robalino Peñaloza, Daniel Alejandro; Paucar Samaniego, Mayra AlejandraThe present technical project is based on the design and simulation of a Photovoltaic System to obtain a LEED certification in the Energy and Atmosphere category for the company SOLINFRA of the city of Quito. This system consists of 12 photovoltaic panels connected to each other, 8 in series and 4 in parallel, to meet the demand for basic lighting of the company which is 2374.75 W in the worst case, with a solar inclined solar radiation of 202, 78 W / m2 (March), taking advantage of the energy from the sun and converting it into electrical energy, thus optimizing economic resources and reducing energy consumption, generating a commitment to the environment and society. It includes a numerical simulation of the system, to obtain power graphs in the worst-case scenario and obtain the power curves at the output of the photovoltaic panel and inverter. An economic analysis determines the investment cost of the project at $ 18,251.91 dollars, with a three-month investment recovery in one month, considering that the energy generated by this project will be sold to the National Interconnected System of Ecuador, demonstrating the feasibility of the proposal.
