The main objective is to design a Rainwater Harvesting System (SCALL) for non-potable use, supplying the sanitary fixtures in the Library and Laboratories building of the Faculty of Health Sciences at UTA, Ingahurco campus. The methodology applied for the design consists of three phases. First, diagnosing the onsite infrastructure and analyzing the historical precipitation of the area over a 10-year period (2015 – 2025), which establishes the feasibility of the project. The second phase consisted of the quantitative and normative design of the SCALL using international and national regulations (CONAGUA, SEMARNAT, and NEC). Finally, the elaboration of technical plans and a Unit Price Analysis. The scientific significance of the project lies in the integration of a hybrid and completely self-sustaining hydrosanitary system, in which traditional reinforced concrete cistern tanks are replaced by AquaCell modular cells made of 100% recycled and recyclable polypropylene, with a capacity to store 5.5 m³ of rainwater. Furthermore, it features a pumping distribution system powered by photovoltaic energy through solar panels, guaranteeing absolute independence from the electrical grid. The required estimated budget is $6,987.92, and its catchment capacity can comfortably exceed the building's demand, ensuring a continuous and ecological supply.
