    Implementación del sistema de bombeo de agua potable para Junta Administradora de agua potable y saneamiento La Victoria, cantón Pujilí

    The project implements a potable water pumping system for the Administrative Board of La Victoria, Cotopaxi, with the aim of ensuring supply to 3,484 residents during periods of scarcity. The system takes advantage of existing water sources through pumping and pipeline networks adapted to the area's topographic conditions. The parish experiences water shortages from June to September, affecting public health and local agricultural productivity. This proposal addresses the urgent need for continuous access to treated water, reduces sanitary risks, and strengthens community resilience in the face of climate change. The selection of equipment and materials is based on elevation analysis and hydraulic losses. A detailed topographic survey was conducted, determining an initial elevation of 2,944 meters and a final elevation of 3,125 meters above sea level. Friction losses were calculated using standard methods to size galvanized steel and PVC pipes, balancing efficiency, and cost. A multistage submersible pump was selected with a flow rate of 7 liters per second and a total dynamic head of 317.75 meters, achieving an efficiency greater than 73 percent. The benefits were analyzed by comparing the costs incurred before the implementation of the pump with the savings generated afterward. The results show significant savings, with the investment expected to be recovered in approximately six years. Recommendations were established for future system upgrades and ways to extend its operational lifespan
